NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The Ohio State University has received a verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season from Butte, Montana sprinter\u00a0Catherine Russo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Russo does her club swimming with Bozeman Multisport Aquatics and owns the U.S. Open standard in the 50 free with a Winter Nationals cut in the 100 fly. She most recently competed at Federal Way Speedo Sectionals where she recorded three lifetime bests with her highest finish being an eighth-place showing in the 50 free. The NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American capped off her long course season with a 10th-place finish in the 100m fly at Santa Clara Futures and won five events at the Montana LCM Championships.\u00a0Also competing for Butte High School, Russo is a six-time Montana State Championship finalist,\u00a0having won the 50 free and 100 fly each of the last three seasons with state records in both.<\/p>\n
