NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Cal Poly has earned a new commitment for the upcoming 2019-20 season from Keller, Texas native\u00a0Tyler Johns<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A strong sprinter freestyler\/flyer, Johns does his club swimming with Lakeside Aquatic Club and owns the Summer Juniors standard in the 100 fly. He most recently competed at College Station Speedo Sectionals where his highest finish was a 21st-place showing in the 100m fly after recording a lifetime best in the event at Juniors West in December. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American capped off his long course season with a fourth-place finish in the 100m fly at Rochester Futures this past summer.\u00a0Also competing for Keller High School, Johns placed third in the 100 fly at the Texas 6A State Championships during his senior year after finishing 10th in the 200 free during his junior season.<\/p>\n
