The evening&#8217;s schedule of the 200 Fly, 50 Free, 200 Breast, and 400 IM, set the group up for a fierce final day of competition on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The Fish led the women&#8217;s meet with a commanding 556 points, more than double second position&#8217;s Radnor at 254 points and Westchester Aquatic Club&#8217;s 227 points. Cougar Aquatic Team sat at 201 points, followed by Retriever Aquatic Club with 196 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s pool, The Fish held a narrow lead, with their 315 points sitting ahead of Radnor&#8217;s 307. The pair are set for a long battle through Sunday&#8217;s events as each vie for the Sectionals team title, ahead of Cougar&#8217;s 268.5 points, Clifton Park-Halfmoon Piranhas&#8217; 256 points, and Star Swimming&#8217;s 204.5 points.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.easternzoneswimming.org\/meets.html\">Meet Page<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Megan Deuel <\/strong>of VICT took a 2:15.32 win in the opening event, significantly ahead of the rest of the pack. Following her was CAT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carlee Sanchez-Hegarthy<\/strong> (2:22.17) and RAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Daly<\/strong> (2:23.19).<\/p>\n<p>Behind them were IA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Donnelly<\/strong> (2:24.43), CAT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Murray<\/strong> (2:25.40), KW&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sophie Shao\u00a0<\/strong>(2:26.47), FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelly Derasmo<\/strong> (2:28.17), and RAD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grace Myers<\/strong> (2:28.39).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>The evening&#8217;s first Sectionals title in the men&#8217;s pool was taken by STAR&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Owen Matteson<\/strong>, in a 2:08.35, just ahead of CCSC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eli Germain<\/strong> (2:08.72).\u00a0<strong>Patrick Flint<\/strong> of CAT took third with a 2:11.66.<\/p>\n<p>Also in the top eight were LESD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Bocci<\/strong> (2:13.21), RAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Crone<\/strong> (2:13.29), LESD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samuel Deemer<\/strong> (2:13.88), FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ignat Miagkov<\/strong> (2:14.94), and ISWM&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carter Anderson<\/strong> (2:15.18).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>COND&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christiana Regenauer<\/strong> took the women&#8217;s sprint with a commanding 26.20, touching in ahead of VAS&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Trojbon<\/strong> (26.98) and JCCS&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Livingston<\/strong> (27.01).<\/p>\n<p>The A Final was rounded out by\u00a0<strong>Tonio Papapertrou<\/strong> (27.18), RAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Makaela Hill<\/strong> (27.28), FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grace Cutrell<\/strong> (27.31), FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Allison Martin<\/strong> (27.48), and CCSC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madeline King<\/strong> (27.77).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Andrew Chetcuti<\/strong>&#8216;s 23.47 win in the 50 Free was more than a second ahead of the rest of the pack, placing him in a commanding lead. Behind him were FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aiken Do<\/strong> (24.42) and RAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Harding\u00a0<\/strong>(24.52).<\/p>\n<p>Following them were\u00a0<strong>Alexey Kolishchak<\/strong> (24.75), RAD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Mlodzienski<\/strong> (24.78), VAS&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erick Linseisen<\/strong> (25.09), JETS&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexander Hiltbrand<\/strong> (25.12), and CPP&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Theodore Bearor<\/strong> (25.31).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>LESD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Laura Goettler<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>hit the pads in a 2:38.71, followed in her lead by\u00a0<strong>Catherine Craig<\/strong> (2:40.20) and FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dora Wu<\/strong> (2:43.97).<\/p>\n<p>Behind them were KW&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Peri Gaguzis<\/strong> (2:44.06), STAR&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jessica Humby\u00a0<\/strong>(2:44.88), FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Skylar Sunderhauf<\/strong> (2:45.64), CAT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carlee Sanchez-Hegarty<\/strong> (2:46.08), and RAD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Kalandadze<\/strong> (2:47.10).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Stopping the clock was RAD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>David Abrahams<\/strong> in a 2:17.79, followed by\u00a0<strong>James Goodman<\/strong> in a 2:20.37 and CAT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eric Wang<\/strong> in a 2:25.85.<\/p>\n<p>Closing out the Championship Final were also\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Bauchwitz\u00a0<\/strong>(2:28.51),\u00a0FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aiken Do<\/strong> (2:30.82), RAD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Gray<\/strong> (2:31.72), VICT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thomas Chapman<\/strong> (2:32.32), and FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ignat Miagkov<\/strong> (2:33.30).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p>The final women&#8217;s event of the evening was dominated by LESD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abigail Hay<\/strong>, who stopped the clock in a 4:56.98. Behind her were WEST&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Bastone<\/strong> (5:08.58) and CAT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Devon Muldoon<\/strong> (5:09.52).<\/p>\n<p>Also in the last A Final of the night were KW&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Peri Gaguzis<\/strong> (5:10.51), IA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Savannah Sargent<\/strong> (5:11.33), FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Allison Martin<\/strong> (5:12.97),\u00a0<strong>Catherine Craig<\/strong> (5:13.50), and FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Skylar Sunderhauf<\/strong> (5:17.80).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p>The final heat of the night featured VICT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Thomas Chapman<\/strong> taking a 4:44.74 win, ahead of CAT&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Patrick Flint<\/strong> (4:47.30) and RAD&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Matthew Gray<\/strong> (4:49.52).<\/p>\n<p>Behind them were FISH&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ignat Miagkov<\/strong> (4:51.13), CCSC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eli Germain\u00a0<\/strong>(4:54.63), STAR&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maxim Kruglov<\/strong> (4:54.79), and STAR&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ian Hewett<\/strong> (5:02.30).
