Windle (447.00) scored 86 points on his final dive to overtake Miami junior <strong>David Dinsmore\u00a0<\/strong>(440.75), who won the title in 2017. Dinsmore had the lead going into the final dive but his 77 points were not enough to overcome Windle&#8217;s final dive.<\/p>\n<p>Windle actually took down the 2017 champ (Dinsmore) and the 2018 and 2016 champion in this event in Tennessee senior <strong>Colin Zeng\u00a0<\/strong>(406.00). Windle won the first NCAA title in the platform board for the Longhorns as the sophomore won in his home pool.<\/p>\n<p>Windle was one of two divers to make all three A-Finals this week. Zeng was the other.<\/p>\n<p>Windle also took after fellow Longhorn\u00a0<strong>Murphy Bromberg<\/strong>, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/texas-murphy-bromberg-wins-platform-diving-title-in-her-home-pool\/\">won the women&#8217;s platform title<\/a> last week in Austin.<\/p>\n<p>LSU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Juan Hernandez\u00a0<\/strong>(435.80) placed third for the Tigers, scoring 81 points on his fourth dive to put him in contention for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Miami&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zach Cooper\u00a0<\/strong>(407.80), who competed in his only event this week in platform, placed fourth for the Hurricanes.
