Caba Siladi<\/strong> broke a Serbian national record swimming at the 2019 Hungarian Open National Championships and moved into the top performer in the world in the process. Siladi won the 50 breast in a time of 26.83, the fastest time in the world this year. China\u2019s Zibei Yan<\/strong> had gone a 26.96 in March. Other notable performances include Brazil\u2019s Felipe Lima<\/strong> (26.97) and Great Britain\u2019s Adam Peaty<\/strong> (26.99), both also set in March.<\/p>\n

The previous career-best swim for Siladi was 26.99 at the 2018 European Championships.<\/p>\n

Siladi, 28, also won the 100 breast at Hungarian nationals, clocking a 59.40.<\/p>\n

There were several other big performances to come out of Hungarian nationals is the 100 fly where Sebastian<\/strong> Sabo<\/strong> won in 51.34 to overtake Kristof Milak<\/strong> (51.50) and German Marius Kusch<\/strong> (51.35), fresh off of his dominating performance at the NCAA Division II Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sabo became the second-fastest in the world this year behind Russia\u2019s Andrei Minakov<\/strong> (51.12). Kusch is third (51.35) from his time in March.<\/p>\n

Sabo also got the top time in the world this year in the 50 fly at 22.99, breaking the national record set by Laszlo Cseh<\/strong> (23.06).<\/p>\n

Earlier in the meet, Maxim Lobanovskij<\/strong> won the 50 free in 22.19, second fastest performer of the year behind Benjamin<\/strong> Proud<\/strong> (21.71).<\/p>\n

Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> won the 200 IM (2:10.05) and the 400 IM (4:35.69). Peter Bernek<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 400 IM (4:12.65), the third fastest in the world this year.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Nandor Nemeth<\/strong> won the 100 free in 48.17 to break the national record and establish the fifth-fastest time in the world this year.<\/p>\n

Zsuzsanna Jakabos<\/strong> won the 100 free in 55.43, while Katalin Buyrian<\/strong> won the 200 back in (2:08.50). Boglarka Kapas<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 2:07.37 to finish ahead of Jakabos, who finished with six medals in the meet.<\/p>\n
