Pursley talked about Alabama&#8217;s tradition in the medley relay as the Crimson Tide have been in the top two 4 times in the last 5 years, including winning it in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Pursley also talked about what it meant to the program to have three seniors on the relay as\u00a0<strong>Laurent Bams<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Knox Auerbach\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Robert Howard\u00a0<\/strong>swam breast, fly and free for the Tide&#8217;s winning relay.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/maoyZIBlkng\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Original Race Report<\/h3>\n<p>The Alabama Crimson Tide won the 200 medley relay on Friday night at the 2019 NCAA Division I Men\u2019s Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin, Texas with a 1:22.26. The team of\u00a0<strong>Zane Waddell\u00a0<\/strong>(20.41),\u00a0<strong>Laurent Bams\u00a0<\/strong>(23.24),\u00a0<strong>Knox Auerbach\u00a0<\/strong>(20.39) and\u00a0<strong>Robert Howard\u00a0<\/strong>(18.22) won the title for the Crimson Tide.<\/p>\n<p>It came down to four teams on the final leg as the Cal Golden Bears snuck into second place at 1:22.43 thanks to an 18.17 anchor from\u00a0<strong>Ryan Hoffer<\/strong>.
