In his re-swum race, Carr blasted a 44.86 to qualify for the championship final.<\/p>\n<p>That knocked Alabama&#8217;s <strong>Zane Waddell\u00a0<\/strong>out of the A-final and knocked\u00a0<strong>Austin Katz\u00a0<\/strong>out of the scoring entirely. Carr&#8217;s re-swim also occurred in lane one, and his teammates stood on the side of the pool rooting him on. In their exuberance after seeing Carr&#8217;s time, Cal coach\u00a0<strong>Dave Durden\u00a0<\/strong>fell to his knees in celebration. All of that is visible in Carr&#8217;s re-swim video, where he again swam in lane one.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fc6dA3m6t_c\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rqsVefl8XQQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Re-swims are rare, though they have happened in the past.
