From defending champs to upsets, to PR&#8217;s and broken records the competition has been intense and made for some exciting races. May the excitement continue on day three as the line up consists of the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 200 free, the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 50 breast, the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 400 IM, and the women&#8217;s and men&#8217;s 50 fly.<\/p>\n<p>After day three of competition at the 2019 NCSA Junior National Championship, team scores of the top eight (combined women and men) are as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Nation&#8217;s Capital Swim Club &#8211; 1469<\/li>\n<li>Nova of Virginia Aquatics Inc &#8211; 801<\/li>\n<li>Aquajets Swim Team &#8211; 668<\/li>\n<li>Long Island Aquatic Club &#8211; 614.5<\/li>\n<li>Rockville Montgomery Swim Club &#8211; 511<\/li>\n<li>Fox Valley Swim Team &#8211; 428<\/li>\n<li>Academy Bullets Swim Club &#8211; 426<\/li>\n<li>Machine Aquatics &#8211; 371<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h3>\n<p>It was a battle for the top three spots in the women&#8217;s 200 Free. All girls, first through third place, went 1:46&#8217;s. Gold went to Arlington Aquatic Club swimmer <strong>Victoria Huske<\/strong> with a time of 1:46.66. Only two hundredths of a second separated second from third place. However, <strong>Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> from Long Island Aquatic Club was able to get her hand to the wall at 1:46.81, just ahead of third place finisher <strong>Rachel Klinker<\/strong> from Lexington Dolphins posting a time of 1:46.83. Fourth place went to <strong>Ella Bathurst<\/strong> from Greater Tampa Swimming Association with a time of 1:47.29. Swimming a time of 1:47.36 was National&#8217;s Capital swimmer <strong>Paige McKenna<\/strong>, grabbing fifth place. <strong>Christiana Regenauer<\/strong> from Condor&#8217;s Swim Club of Clarkstow finished in sixth with a time of 1:48.65. Seventh place went to Nasa Wildcat Aquatics swimmer <strong>Annika Wagner<\/strong> with a time of 1:49.53. Wrapping up the top eight finishers in the event was <strong>Grace Sheble<\/strong> from Nova of Virginia Aquatics swimming a time of 1:51.28.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h3>\n<p>The 2019 NCSA Junior National Championship title holder in the men&#8217;s 200 free is <strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> from Rockwood Swim Club swimming a solid time of 1:35.38. It was a close race for silver. However, Lexington Dolphin swimmer <strong>Zachary Hils<\/strong> was able to pull ahead of Wildcat Aquatics swimmer <strong>Luke Maurer<\/strong> in the last 50 of the event putting him at 1:36.11. Maurer was right behind with a time of 1:36.33.\u00a0 Fourth place went to Bowling Green Swim Club swimmer <strong>Andrew Matejka<\/strong> with a time of 1:36.81. <strong>Sean Conway<\/strong>, Nation&#8217;s Capital swimmer, touched the wall at 1:37.11 earning him a fifth place finish. Fox Valley Swim Team member <strong>Aayush Deshpande<\/strong> finished in sixth with a time of 1:37.25. Seventh place went to <strong>Michael Bonson<\/strong> from Hurricane Swim Club with a time of 1:38.24, and eight place went to <strong>Daniel Gyenis<\/strong> from Machine Aquatics with a time of 1:38.83.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/h3>\n<p>The women&#8217;s 50 breast displayed some stiff competition. Six hundredths of a second separated first and second place. The champion in the women&#8217;s 50 breast of this years 2019 NCSA Junior National Championship is <strong>Hannah Bach<\/strong> from Cleveland Swim Institute swimming a time of 27.60. Touching the pad right after her was Baylor Swim Club member<strong> Cecilia Porter<\/strong> with a time of 27.66. Bronze medal went to Machine Aquatics swimmer <strong>Anna Keating<\/strong> posting a time of 27.76. Fourth place went to <strong>Letitia Sim<\/strong> from Tnt Swimming with a time of 28.04. <strong>Zoe Skirboll,<\/strong> swimming for Racer X Aquatics, finished in fifth with a time of 28.05. Coastal Aquatic Club swimmer <strong>Taylor Steele<\/strong> landed in sixth swimming a 28.19. Seventh place went to Aquajet Swim Team member <strong>Isabelle Stadden<\/strong> with a time of 28.28 while eighth place went to New Wave Swim Team swimmer <strong>Mikaela Fullerton<\/strong> with a time of 28.68.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/h3>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side in the 50 breast the event turned out to be equally competitive. To make top eight the men had to go under a 25.62. With that being said, gold medal went to Mason Makos Swim Team member <strong>Anthony Grimm<\/strong> with a time of 24.14. Second place went St. Charles Swim Team member <strong>William Myhre<\/strong> with a time of 24.65. Meanwhile, <strong>Paul Kinsella<\/strong> from York Swim Club finished in third with a time of 24.83. <strong>Joshua Matheny<\/strong> from Performance Elite Aquatics finished in fourth with a time of 24.95. Fifth place went to <strong>Noah Nichols<\/strong> from Poseidon Swimming Inc. posting a time of 25.13. <strong>Hayden Zhen<\/strong>, Aquajet swimmer, swam a time of 25.43 landing in sixth place. Seventh place went to Peoria Area Water Wizards swimmer<strong> Justin Alderson<\/strong> with a time of 25.46. Wrapping up the top eight was Bowling Green Swim Club member <strong>Christopher Layne<\/strong> with a time of 25.62.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h3>\n<p>The extraneous event with a unique sort of pain was yet another event to display the talent in the field. Finishing nearly four seconds ahead of the pack was Nova of Virginia Aquatics swimmer <strong>G. Sheble <\/strong>earning a gold medal with a time of 4:07.59. Second place went to <strong>Felicia Pasadyn<\/strong> from SwimStrongsville with a time of 4:11.86. Shortly behind Pasadyn was Academy Bullets Swim Club swimmer <strong>Sydney Vanovermeiren<\/strong> finishing in third with a time of 4:12.68. Fourth place went to Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics swimmer <strong>Isabel Gormley<\/strong> touching the wall at 4:13.82. <strong>P. McCormick<\/strong>, Hudson Explorer Aquatic swimmer, landed in fifth with a time of 4:14.62. Meanwhile, <strong>Madison Kolessar<\/strong>, representing Suburban Seahawks Club, fell behind McCormick at the breaststroke portion of the racing leading her to a sixth place finish with a time of 4:14.65. <strong>Catheirne Purnell<\/strong> from Nation&#8217;s Capital landed in seventh place at 4:15.01 while Greenwich Ywca Dolphins Swim Team member <strong>Meghan Lynch<\/strong> finished in eighth with a time of 4:16.28.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h3>\n<p>The 2019 NCSA Junior National Champion in the men&#8217;s 400 IM is <strong>J.\u00a0Louser<\/strong> from Long Island Aquatic Club with a time of 3:46.81. Earning a silver medal in the event was Nation&#8217;s Capital swimmer <strong>S. Conway<\/strong> posting a time of 3:48.90. Third place went to <strong>Bernhard Christianson<\/strong> from Naval Academy Aquatic Club with a time of 3:49.12. It was a tight race between fourth and fifth place.<strong> Dylan Rhee<\/strong>, representing Asphalt Green, and <strong>Jack Fitzpatrick<\/strong>, representing Peoria Area Water Wizards, battled it out. Yet, Rhee pull ahead of Fitzpatrick at the breaststroke leg of the race and finished in fourth with a time of 3:52.37 while Fitzpatrick came in behind him at 3:52.49. In sixth place from Nova of Virginia Aquatics was <strong>Hunter Locher<\/strong> with a time of 3:52.59. <strong>Timothy Ellett<\/strong>, Rockville Montgomery Swim Club member, came in seventh touching the wall at 3:53.37. Last, but not least, eighth place went to another Nova of Virginia Aquatics swimmer, <strong>Zachary Cram<\/strong> with a time of 3:58.81<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h3>\n<p>Taking home another gold medal for the night was Arlington Aquatic Club swimmer <strong>V. Huske<\/strong> with a time of 22.96. Taking home a silver medal was Mason Mako Swim Team member <strong>Alexa Cuomo<\/strong> with a time of 23.44. Capping off the top three finishers and taking home a bronze medal was Nation&#8217;s Capital swimmer <strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> with a time of 23.74. Academy Bullets Swim Club member, <strong>Athena Ye,<\/strong> finished in fourth with a time of 24.01. Fifth place went to Aquajet swimmer <strong>Abigail Kapeller<\/strong> touching the wall at 24.10. Finishing in sixth place was <strong>Abigail Gibbons<\/strong> representing Blue dolphins and posting a time of 24.22. Seventh place finisher was<strong> I. Stadden<\/strong> from Aquajets swimming a solid time of 24.30. Meanwhile, <strong>Megan Pulley<\/strong> swimming for Nova of Virginia Aquatics, landed in eighth place with a time of 24.68.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h3>\n<p>The last event of day three at the 2019 NCSA Junior National Championship in Orlando was filled with sprinters powering through to their finishes. The champion in the men&#8217;s 50 breast earlier tonight,<strong> A. Grimm<\/strong> from Mason Makos Swim Team, took home gold with a time of 20.73. Silver went to <strong>William Rose<\/strong> from Canton City Schools with a time of 21.58. Taking home bronze in the event was Summit Swimming member <strong>Aidan Stoffle<\/strong> with a time of 21.61. Fourth place went to <strong>Topher Stensby<\/strong> posting a time of 21.86 while representing Patriot Aquatic Club. Racer X Aquatics swimmer <strong>Kimani Greogory<\/strong> came in fifth with a time of 21.92. Sixth place finisher was <strong>Gregory Kalin<\/strong> from Mercy Healthplex Sea Wolves touching the wall at 21.93. <strong>Constantin Bensch<\/strong> from Machine Aquatics landed in seventh with a time of 21.98.
