The 2019 Speedo Sectional in Federal Way continued on Friday with Day two of the meet.<\/p>\n
The 200 free, 400 IM, 100 back and 400 free relay comprised the evening as the meet reached its halfway point.<\/p>\n
Missoula Aquatic\u2019s Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> started the session off with a big swim to win the 200 free.<\/p>\n Berkoff won the event in 1:46.14 to hold off Pro Swimming\u2019s Janelle Rudolph<\/strong> (1:46.91).<\/p>\n Lobo\u2019s Sefilina Maile<\/strong> finished third (1:46.92), followed by Tualatin Hills\u2019 Tia Lindsay<\/strong> (1:47.36), Bellevue\u2019s Grace Felner<\/strong> (1:47.76) and Sarah Dimeco<\/strong> (1:48.43) and Tualatin Hills\u2019 Elizabeth Cook<\/strong> (1:49.90) and Lily Gardner<\/strong> (1:52.00).<\/p>\n Hillsboro\u2019s Luke Thornbrue<\/strong> earned a close victory in the men\u2019s 200 free, winning in 1:35.58 to hold off Iolani\u2019s Aukai Lileikis<\/strong> (1:35.68).<\/p>\n Caspar Corbeau<\/strong> finished third (1:35.85), followed by Trenton Martinez<\/strong> (1:37.33), Jack Hoagland<\/strong> (1:37.37), Keelan Hart<\/strong> (1;38.46), Kevin Jackson<\/strong> (1:39.53) and Ethan Harder<\/strong> (1:39.55).<\/p>\n Bellevue\u2019s Sarah Dimeco<\/strong>, swimming in her second event in a row, claimed victory in the women\u2019s 400 IM. She won the race in 4:12.10 to hold off Fort Collins Area\u2019s Lucerne Bell<\/strong> (4:12.42).<\/p>\n Bellevue\u2019s Samantha Baron<\/strong> finished third (4:18.21), followed by Caraline Baker<\/strong> (4:20.01) Allison Bernier<\/strong> (4:22.20), Milla Ruthven<\/strong> (4:22.72), Emily Rinker<\/strong> (4:22.84) and Yulia Groysman<\/strong> (4:25.56).<\/p>\n Hillsboro\u2019s Ethan Heasley<\/strong> crushed the field to win the men\u2019s 400 IM by four seconds.<\/p>\n Heasley finished in 3:44.25 to win.<\/p>\n Seattle\u2019s Tyler Lu<\/strong> was second in 3:48.14, followed by William Goodwin<\/strong> (3:49.13).<\/p>\n Jack Hoagland<\/strong>, swimming in his second consecutive event, finished fourth (3:52.40), followed by Benjamin Miller<\/strong> (3:53.24), Kevin Keil<\/strong> (3:54.42) and Zachary Bartel<\/strong> (3:57.70).<\/p>\n Katharine Berkoff<\/strong> made it 2-for-2 on Friday by winning the 100 back in 50.99.<\/p>\n Amy Tang<\/strong> finished second in 53.55, followed by Sefilina Maile<\/strong> (54.28) and Sydney Silver<\/strong> (54.68).<\/p>\n Isabella Wallace<\/strong> was fifth (55.05), ahead of Anneliese Husaby<\/strong> (55.51), Elli Straume<\/strong> (55.97) and Lillianna Brooks<\/strong> (56.11).<\/p>\n Just minutes after finishing second in the 400 IM, Tyler Lu<\/strong> earned a narrow victory in the 100 back to close the session.<\/p>\n Lu won the race in 47.46 to hold off Ethan Harder<\/strong> (47.62).<\/p>\n James Richardson<\/strong> was third (47.83), followed by Timothy Gallagher<\/strong> (48.43), Emmett Wayte<\/strong> (49.47), Maxwell Hawton<\/strong> (49.61) Wilder Kruse<\/strong> (49.86) and Neirton<\/strong> Oliviera<\/strong> (49.96).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The 2019 Speedo Sectional in Federal Way continued on Friday with Day two of the meet.
