The lineup included the 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 400 free relay and consolation heats of the 1650 free.<\/p>\n<p>Queens University won big again this morning with three top seed qualifiers in\u00a0<strong>Polina Lapshina<\/strong>,<strong> Alex Kunert\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Bobbi Gichard. <\/strong>Both Queens 400 free relays will go into finals as first place seeds as well.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncaa.com\/event\/swimming-men\/d2\/2019\/03\/14\/dii-swimming---diving--day-two---morning-session\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/iunat.iupui.edu\/content\/Other-Information\/LiveResults\/index.htm\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Between a new meet record and a swim off for 16th, it was an exciting morning in the women&#8217;s 100 free.\u00a0Cruising to first almost a second ahead of the field was Queens junior <strong>Polina Lapshina<\/strong>. She claimed the top seed with a new meet record time of 48.26.<\/p>\n<p>Adding a bit from her seed time was senior <strong>Randi Darnell<\/strong> of WSCU. She will still go into the evening seeded second. Not far behind her and coming in third with a time of 49.46 was junior <strong>Victoria Fronville<\/strong> of Oklahoma Baptist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Josephina Lorda<\/strong> of Queens will join her top-seeded teammate in the A final this evening. She finished fourth with a time of 49.72. He will go into finals seeded first with a time of 43.15. Close behind him was teammate <strong>Marius Kusch<\/strong> finishing second (43.32).<\/p>\n<p>Off his seed time, but still claiming third this morning with a time of 43.48, was sophomore <strong>Xander Skinner<\/strong> of McKendre. <strong>Mattia Schirru<\/strong> of Delta state will go into this evening seeded fourth with a time of 43.62. A mere two hundredths off him was Florida Tech senior <strong>Victor Rocha Furtado<\/strong> finishing fifth (43.64).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joao Santos<\/strong> of Emmanuel had a nice drop earning him sixth (43.75). Miram and Helm finished .01 next to each other with times of 1:57.33 and 1:57.34. Massaro finished fourth (1:57.46) with her teammate<strong> Vladyslava Maznytska<\/strong> finishing fifth (1:58.54).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Savanna Saunders<\/strong> of Northern Michigan broke the two minute mark this morning, finishing sixth with a time of 1:58.72. Shalamon finished at a 1:43.97, just off his 2019 GLIAC conference meet record time. Northern Michigan senior <strong>Renars Bundiz<\/strong>, another GLIAC swimmer, finished a close second (1:44.12).<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore<strong> Alen Mosic<\/strong> of Queens finished third with a time of 1:44.32 with freshman <strong>Nathan Bighetti<\/strong> of Henderson State finishing fourth (1:44.41).<\/p>\n<p>It was a close battle for the fifth and sixth seeds between Delta State sophomore <strong>Giulio Brugnoni<\/strong> and Wayne State senior<strong> Dima Drobnych<\/strong>. Brugnoni will go into finals seeded fifth (1:44.83) while Drobynch will be seeded sixth (1:44.87).<\/p>\n<p>Dropping his seed time by nearly two seconds and finishing seventh with a time of 1:44.90 was Florida Southern sophomore <strong>Brandon Dyck<\/strong>. She finished with a personal best time of 2:12.12.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly three seconds off her best was Drury junior\u00a0<strong>Bailee Nunn<\/strong>. She still finished second at a 2:12.22.<\/p>\n<p>Further behind the field was Indiana University of Pennsylvania junior <strong>Claire Mikesell<\/strong>. She will be seeded this evening with a time of 2:14.80. Coming in fourth with a time of 2:15.00 was Northern State senior <strong>Hannah Kastigar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Both in the 2:15 range were <strong>Olga Tovstogan<\/strong> from Frenso Pacific finishing fifth (2:15.30) and <strong>Shelly Prayson<\/strong> from Queens finishing sixth (2:15.61). Finishing behind them with a time of 2:16.41 was Prayson&#8217;s teammate <strong>Sarah Jane Atkinson<\/strong>.
