She finished in 1:01.96, followed by Azura\u2019s <strong>Celina Marquez<\/strong> (1:04.64).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emily Crane<\/strong> was third (1:05.37), followed by<strong> Clair Timson<\/strong> (1:05.52), <strong>Megan Murphy<\/strong> (1:05.56), <strong>Madison Cummings<\/strong> (1:06.54), <strong>Daciana Colon<\/strong> (1:06.97) and <strong>Bettina Boszormenyi<\/strong> (1:07.26).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p>Barrington\u2019s <strong>Griffin O\u2019Leary<\/strong> won the 100 back in 57.21. The 15-year-old held off the field by more than a second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan Cross<\/strong> finished second (58.42), followed by <strong>Joshua Zuchowski<\/strong> (58.43), <strong>Payton Plumb<\/strong> (58.46), <strong>Steven Aimable<\/strong> (59.16), <strong>David Yuni Rowe<\/strong> (59.50), <strong>Lance Lesage<\/strong> (59.76) and <strong>Preston Harrison<\/strong> (1:00.15).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p>South Florida Aquatic Club\u2019s <strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong> cruised to victory in the 50 breast on Saturday, clocking a 31.00 to hold off the field by more than two seconds in such a short event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patricia Casellas<\/strong> was second (33.88), followed by <strong>Shayna Fetes<\/strong> (34.00), <strong>Heidi Smithwick<\/strong> (34.38), <strong>Olivia Dinehart<\/strong> (34.59), <strong>Jayla Pina<\/strong> (34.72), <strong>Katelyn Barkman<\/strong> (34.88) and <strong>Chloe Hernandez<\/strong> (35.24).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 50 Breast<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Lukas Macek<\/strong> held off Spartan Aquatic Club\u2019s J<strong>acob Budnitz<\/strong> to win the 50 breast. Macek finished in 29.76, ahead of Budnitz (29.82).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arnold Luk<\/strong> finished third (30.06), followed by <strong>Joshua Hanks<\/strong> (30.11), <strong>Ryaan Hatoum<\/strong> (30.14), Christian March (30.49), Diego <strong>Jesus Duarte<\/strong> (30.49) and<strong> Luke Shourds<\/strong> (30.56).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 50 Fly<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> surged to victory in the 50 fly. She finished in 26.40 to hold off <strong>Alia Atkinson<\/strong> (27.14).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alia Bates<\/strong> was third (27.38), followed by <strong>Chade Nersicio<\/strong> (28.47), <strong>Caitlin Brooks<\/strong> (28.61), <strong>Beatriz Padron<\/strong> (28.63), <strong>Abigail Gibbons<\/strong> (28.74) and <strong>Madison Cummings<\/strong> (28.85).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 50 Fly<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Runar Borge<\/strong>n of Performance won the 50 fly in 24.86 to edge Azura\u2019<strong>s Luciano Gonzalez<\/strong> (25.01).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kent Olsen-Stavrakas<\/strong> was third (25.11), followed by T<strong>hiago Sickert<\/strong> (25.53), <strong>Anthony Barbar<\/strong> (25.58), <strong>Bryan Alvarez<\/strong> (25.59), <strong>Preston Harrison<\/strong> (25.69) and<strong> Gabriel Araya<\/strong> (25.92).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Sarasota\u2019s <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> cruised past the rest of the field to win the 200 IM in 2:17.80.<\/p>\n<p>The 17-year-old was nearly four seconds ahead of the field.<\/p>\n<p>North Palm Beach\u2019s <strong>Jennifer Secrest<\/strong> took second in 2:21.12, followed by<strong> Shayna Fetes<\/strong> (2:21.96),<strong> Michelle Morgan<\/strong> (2:22.47), <strong>Paige Maceachern<\/strong> (2:23.07),<strong> Isabel Traba<\/strong> (2:25.00), <strong>Sumner Chmielewski<\/strong> (2:25.45) and <strong>Gracie Weyant<\/strong> (2:26.19).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Gabriel Parnell<\/strong> surged to the 200 IM title, finishing in 2:04.85.<\/p>\n<p>Gator Swim Club\u2019s<strong> Santiago Corredor<\/strong> took second (2:06.43), ahead of <strong>Kamal Muhammad<\/strong> (2:08.06), <strong>Joshua Zuchowski<\/strong> (2:10.63), <strong>Julian Hill<\/strong> (2:10.74), <strong>Matheo Mateos<\/strong> (2:10.83), <strong>Alexander Gusev<\/strong> (2:11.08) and<strong> Luke Shourds<\/strong> (2:11.42).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Loughborough\u2019s<strong> Emily Barclay<\/strong> won the 50 free in 25.78 to hold off <strong>Talia Bates<\/strong> (26.10).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chloe Grimm<\/strong>e and <strong>Allyson Ponson<\/strong> tied for third at 26.46, followed by <strong>Mckenna Smith (<\/strong>26.49),<strong> Eboni McCarty<\/strong> (26.84), <strong>Megan Hansen<\/strong> (26.95) and <strong>Chade Nersicio<\/strong> (27.63).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Coral Springs\u2019 <strong>Bruno Fratus<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 50 free in 22.15. He finished ahead of Loughborough\u2019s <strong>Tom Fannon<\/strong> (22.86).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kent Olsen-Stavraka<\/strong>s was third (23.45), follow by <strong>Steven Aimable<\/strong> (23.68), <strong>Sam Irvine<\/strong> (23.72), <strong>Sidrell Williams<\/strong> (23.85), <strong>Luciano Gonzalez<\/strong> (23.91) and <strong>Blake Wilton<\/strong> (24.06).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 400 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Sarasota\u2019s <strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> made it 2-for-2 by winning the 400 free in 4:14.54, winning her second event of the day, this one by nearly five seconds.<\/p>\n<p>South Florida\u2019s <strong>Mary Smutny<\/strong> finished second (4:19.34), followed by <strong>Michaela Mattes<\/strong> (4:20.73), <strong>Nikki Miller (<\/strong>4:21.94), <strong>Anna Auld<\/strong> (4:23.06), <strong>Michelle Morgan<\/strong> (4:23.84), <strong>Savannah Barr<\/strong> (4:24.26) and <strong>Mallory Schleicher<\/strong> (4:28.08).<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 400 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Gator\u2019s <strong>Santiago Corredor<\/strong> earned a huge win in the 400 free. He won in 3:57.97, nearly seven seconds ahead of the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gabriel Araya<\/strong> finished second (4:04.27), followed by <strong>Julian Hill<\/strong> (4:05.13), <strong>Sarsen Whatmore<\/strong> (4:07.21), <strong>Alexander<\/strong> <strong>Gusev<\/strong> (4:07.36), <strong>Zachary Szmania<\/strong> (4:07.78), <strong>Neal Wolfram<\/strong> (4:09.95) and <strong>Peyton Werner<\/strong> (4:10.64).<\/p>\n<h3>Women\u2019s 400 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Sarasota cruised to victory in the 400 medley relay to close out the women\u2019s session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Naomi Chance, Emma Weyant, Isabel Traba<\/strong> and<strong> Savannah Barr<\/strong> finished in 4:23.65.<\/p>\n<p>East Coast finished second in 4:25.75 and Azura was third in 4:26.22.<\/p>\n<h3>Men\u2019s 400 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Colorado Stars earned a slim victory in the 400 medley relay. <strong>Preston Harrison, Arnold Luk, Blake Wilton<\/strong> and <strong>Kent<\/strong> <strong>Olsen-Stavrakas<\/strong> won the event in 3:54.83.<\/p>\n<p>Azura finished second in 3:55.40 and Spartan was third in 3:59.07.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2019 Speedo Sectional in Plantation, Florida, continued on Saturday.
