The Bears hope to remain on top with <strong>Andrew Seliskar<\/strong>, <strong>Trenton Julian<\/strong>, <strong>Sean Grieshop<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Norman<\/strong> taking four of the top eight seeds going into this morning&#8217;s 500 free, though <strong>Brooks Fail<\/strong> of Arizona hopes to keep the top seed heading into tonight&#8217;s finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Andrew Seliskar<\/strong> of Cal hopes to hold onto his top seed in the 200 IM despite his back to back events with the 500 free minutes before his race. Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Abrahm DeVine<\/strong>, who is currently in second, will be fighting for the win in the 200 IM this morning.<\/p>\n<p>The 50 free will be a close race, as the top eight seeds are only separated by .46 seconds. Going into the morning Cal&#8217;s <strong>Pawel Sendyk<\/strong> holds the top seed, followed closely by Arizona&#8217;s <strong>Chatham Dobbs<\/strong> and USC&#8217;s <strong>Kyle Grissom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/results.teamunify.com\/pnws2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 2 Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Up-Mid-Down<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Stanford 7-5-5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Cal 10-2-4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Arizona 2-7-4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Utah 1-5-4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Arizona State 1-4-3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>USC 3-1-3<\/p>\n<h2>Order of Events<\/h2>\n<p><strong>500 Free\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>200 IM\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>50 Free\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>500 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Victor Johansson<\/strong> of USC dominated the 500 by jumping from the ninth seed to the first with a time of 4:14.52.<\/p>\n<p>Cal swimmer <strong>Trenton Julian<\/strong> came in a close second with a time of 4:15.01.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in third was Cal&#8217;s <strong>Sean Grieshop<\/strong> with a time of 4:15.96.<\/p>\n<p>In fourth was <strong>Brooks Fail<\/strong> of Arizona with a time of 4:15.99, in fifth was <strong>Johannes Calloni<\/strong> of Stanford with a time of 4:16.09, in sixth was <strong>Matthew Hirschberger<\/strong> of Stanford with a time of 4:16.41, in seventh was <strong>James Murphy<\/strong> of Stanford with a time of 4:16.88, and in eighth was <strong>Nick Norman<\/strong> of Cal with a time of 4:17.80.<\/p>\n<h2>200 IM<\/h2>\n<p><strong>David Schlicht<\/strong> of Arizona took the top seed by dropping over three seconds in his 200 IM, going a time of 1:43.12.<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mike Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>came in second\u00a0with a time of 1:43.87, followed closely by his teammate\u00a0<strong>Andrew Seliskar\u00a0<\/strong>with a time of 1:43.93.<\/p>\n<p>In fourth was <strong>Grant House<\/strong> of ASU with a time of 1:43.97, in a close fifth was <strong>Abrahm DeVine<\/strong> of Stanford with a time of 1:43.98, in sixth was <strong>Brennan Pastorek<\/strong> of Stanford with a time of 1:44.18, in seventh was <strong>Daniel Carr<\/strong> of Cal with a time of 1:44.29, and in eighth was <strong>Alex Liang<\/strong> of Stanford with a time of 1:44.38.<\/p>\n<h2>50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s <strong>Pawel Sendyk<\/strong> kept his top seed in the 50 free and got dangerously close to breaking the 19 second barrier this morning with a time of 19.09.<\/p>\n<p>Cal also took the second, third and fourth seeds as well with swimmers, <strong>Ryan Hoffer<\/strong> going a time of 19:38, <strong>Michael Jensen<\/strong> going a time of 19:55, and <strong>Nate Biondi<\/strong> going a time of 19:56.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in a close fifth and sixth were UCS swimmers <strong>Kyle Grissom<\/strong> with a time of 19:57, and <strong>Nikola Miljenic<\/strong> with a time of 19:59.
