He finaled in the 200m breast at NC LCM Seniors this past summer and placed 20th in the 100 breast at Greensboro Speedo Sectionals last March. Also competing for\u00a0RJ Reynolds Senior High School, Echols finished sixth in the 100 breast as a senior at the North Carolina 4A State Championships after placing 13th during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #0d0dde;\"><strong>\u201cExcited to announce my commitment to study and swim at Washington and Lee University! Thank you to my family, coaches, and friends for helping me along the way. Go Generals!!!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 breast &#8211; 57.85<\/li>\n<li>200 breast &#8211; 2:10.73<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 1:56.29<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 4:18.64<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Echols will make an immediate impact when he suits up for the Generals as a member of the class of 2023.
