Akron came up victorious in the conference once again. The events of the night included the 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 400 free relay and 3 meter diving.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2019-mid-american-conference-women-night-4\/ncaa-college\/2019\/February\/27?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fncaa-college%3Fpage%3D1%26orderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26q%3D\">Day 4 Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Team Scores:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Akron 867<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Michigan 583<\/p>\n<p>University at Buffalo 502<\/p>\n<p>Miami 486<\/p>\n<p>Ohio 421<\/p>\n<p>Bowling Green 305<\/p>\n<p>Toledo 171<\/p>\n<p>Ball State 148<\/p>\n<h2>1650 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Nicole Swartz<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan won with time of 16:15.71. <strong>Hannah Schiegal<\/strong> of Ohio was second with a time of 16:19.04. <strong>Beatriz Pimentel<\/strong> <strong>Dizotti<\/strong> of Miami was third 16:24.17. <strong>Brittney Beetcher<\/strong> of Buffalo was fourth with a time of 16:34.99. <strong>Katie Scanlan<\/strong> of Eastern Michiagn finished fifth 16:38.21.<strong> Maria Eduar Seifer<\/strong> of Miami finished sixth with a time of 16:41.19. <strong>Emma Bradley<\/strong> of Miami (16:44.69) was seventh and <strong>Katie Garrity<\/strong> (16:46.69) was eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>200 Back<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Daisy Platts<\/strong>, a freshman from Bowling Green, won the even with a time of 1:54.52. Second was <strong>Casey Gavigan<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan (1:55.33) and she was followed by <strong>Claire Young<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan (1:56.80), <strong>Nicole Roitenber<\/strong> of Buffalo (1:56.96), <strong>Izzy Herb<\/strong> of Miami (1:57.11), <strong>Avery Movoid<\/strong> of Akron (1:57.41), <strong>Olivia Garden<\/strong> of Akron (1:57.96) and <strong>Athena Aravantinou<\/strong> of Ohio (2:00.17) rounded out the top eight finishers.<\/p>\n<h2>100 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Sarah Watson<\/strong> won the event set a new Akron team record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.93. Her team mates, <strong>Morgan Waggoner<\/strong> (48.94), <strong>Sadie Fazekas<\/strong> (48.98), <strong>Ragen Engle<\/strong> (49.03) and <strong>Ellie Nebraska<\/strong> (49.38) rounded out the top five. <strong>Ella Moynihan<\/strong> (49.43) and <strong>Camila Lins de Mello<\/strong> (49.48) of Miami finished sixth and seventh. <strong>Andrea Ernst<\/strong> (49.72) of Buffalo finished eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Delaney Duncan<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan was once again victorious with a time of 2:07.38. <strong>Paula Garcia<\/strong> of Akron (2:09.82) followed and <strong>Kelsey Morgan<\/strong> of Ohio (2:11.43) rounded out the top three. <strong>Emilia Lahtinen<\/strong> of Ohio (2:11.51) was fourth and <strong>Andrea Fisher<\/strong> (2:13.27) was fifth.<strong> Anna Martin<\/strong> (2:14.64), <strong>Hannah Fuchs<\/strong> (2:14.67), <strong>Grace Baumer<\/strong> (2:14.86) were sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.<\/p>\n<h2>200 Fly<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Mackenzie Vargas<\/strong> of Akron touched first with a time of 1:58.06. <strong>Paulina Nogaj<\/strong>, also from Akron, finished in a close second with a time of 1:58.10 and<strong> Jessica Bonezzi<\/strong>, also from Akron, came in a close third with a time of 1:58.26. <strong>Olivia Sapio<\/strong> of Buffalo had another close time of 1:58.82. <strong>Madeline Wyke<\/strong> of Ohio was fifth in a time of 2:01.42. <strong>Sam Glass<\/strong>, also from Ohio, was sixth with a time of 2:01.69.<strong> Emilie Dasnoyers<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan finished seventh in a time of 2:02.67. <strong>Sarah Hannings <\/strong>of Bowling Green rounded out the top eight with a time of 2:03.29.<\/p>\n<h2>400 Free Relay<\/h2>\n<p>Akron&#8217;s relay team of <strong>Ragen Engle, Sarah Watson, Sadie Fazekas<\/strong> and <strong>Sofia Henell<\/strong> won the event and\u00a0qualified for the NCAA Championships while breaking the MAC and the Akron program record for the third time this season with a time of 3:14.42. Miami followed with a time of 3:18.49 and Buffalo was a close third with a time of 3:19.91.<\/p>\n<h2>3-Meter Diving<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Talisa Lemke<\/strong> of Bowling Green finished first with a score of 341.35. <strong>Karly Crail<\/strong> of Akron (314.35) was second and <strong>Sophia Tsafantakis<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan was third (304.60). <strong>Jae Sarkis<\/strong> of Buffalo was fourth with a score of 299.05.<strong> Kami Goodrick<\/strong> of Akron was fifth with a score of 286.85. <strong>Gabrielle Mace<\/strong> of Eastern Michigan was sixth with a score of 285.85. <strong>Bethany Berger<\/strong> (283.50) and<strong> Brielle Johnston<\/strong> (254.90), both\u00a0of Eastern Michigan, rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Jamie Kolar, Swimming World College Intern.\u00a0 The final night of the Mid-American Conference wrapped up in the\u00a0Ocasek Natatorium.
