The session consisted of the 400 IM, 100 butterfly, 200 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, 100 backstroke, women&#8217;s platform diving, and the 400 medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>The Northern Arizona University women are continuing their lead in the women&#8217;s team scores with a total of 514.5 points. Sitting behind them in second is New Mexico State University (389 points) and in third is the University of Northern Colorado (346.5 points).<\/p>\n<p>The Grand Canyon men have maintained their first place spot in the team scores with a total of 472 points. In second is the U.S. Air Force Academy with 418 points and in third with 398.5 points is California Baptist University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2019-western-athletic-conference-day-3-day-3\/ncaa-college\/2019\/March\/1?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fncaa-college%3Fpage%3D1%26orderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26q%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day Three Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Petra Kis<\/strong> from Northern Colorado redeemed herself tonight in the 400 IM after her second place finish in last night&#8217;s 200 IM. She claimed first place with a time of 4:16.28 after swimming the fastest freestyle split to secure victory. Leading from start to finish was <strong>Brand Schuster<\/strong> from California Baptist University. Schuster touched the wall and claimed first place by almost three seconds, swimming a 3:48.77. In second place was a freshman from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, <strong>Ivan Zukov<\/strong>, with a time of 3:51.51. The second place finisher was <strong>Elis Rodriguez<\/strong> of Northern Arizona with a time of 54.22 who finished ahead of New Mexico State&#8217;s <strong>Reaga Nentwich<\/strong> (54.49). He set this record at last year&#8217;s conference meet.<\/p>\n<p>Finishing second was CSU Bakersfield sophomore, <strong>Loren Gillilan\u00a0<\/strong>with a time of 46.90. Hemmens&#8217; prelim time of 1:35.53 would have placed him first in the final heat. Finishing in first was University of Idaho senior, <strong>Janelle Lucas<\/strong> with a total of 253.15 points. Following Lucas in second place was <strong>Emily Dunerson<\/strong> from California Baptist University, finishing with a total of 240.40 points. She narrowly beat out the third place finisher, <strong>Raina Brommer<\/strong> of New Mexico State with 239.05 points.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the final was Nikki Imanaka (229.45), Olivia Payne (226.20), Christina Torrente (209.45), Kiree Lowe (205.50), and Emily Sharrer (205.20).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 400 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n<p>In a tight race for first place, the Northern Arizona women edged out Northern Colorado for the gold in the 400 medley relay. The team of <strong>Fernanda Montiel Gamez<\/strong>, Hope Williams, <strong>Kate Bier<\/strong>, and <strong>Elisa Rodriguez<\/strong> touched the wall first with a time of 3:41.29. The Northern Colorado women finished behind them with a time of 3:41.41. They finished with a time of 3:09.39 ahead of California Baptist University (3:10.09). Finishing third was the U.S. Air Force Academy with a time of 3:11.70.<\/p>\n<p>CSU Bakersfield took fourth place with a time of 3:15.02.
