But what came to Seliskar\u2019s mind was a memory from long before he earned widespread acclaim, from a time when swimming was simple and pure.<\/p>\n<p>Seliskar recalled his days in the Northern Virginia Swim League, one of the country\u2019s oldest summer swimming organizations. He couldn\u2019t remember how old he was at the time\u2014maybe 12, maybe 14.
