The girls&#8217; championship crown also went to Poolesville, who earned their fifth-consecutive title with a final score of 344 ahead of Damascus (281) and Easton (153).<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2019-maryland-3a2a1a-state-championships\/high-school\/2019\/February\/23?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fhigh-school%3Fpage%3D1%26orderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26q%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a> for full results.<\/p>\n<h1>Boys Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Poolesville &#8211; 317<\/li>\n<li>Damascus &#8211; 242<\/li>\n<li>Patterson Mill &#8211; 221<\/li>\n<li>Walkersville &#8211; 155.5<\/li>\n<li>Easton &#8211; 146<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Poolesville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Ye\u00a0<\/strong>(25.71),\u00a0<strong>Justin Yi\u00a0<\/strong>(28.74),\u00a0<strong>Maxwell Chen\u00a0<\/strong>(23.72) and\u00a0<strong>Kenny Song\u00a0<\/strong>(21.99) began the meet by winning the opening 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:40.16.\u00a0Chen later won the 200 IM by a full second in 1:57.85 as the first of only three swimmers in the field to break the two-minute marker.<\/p>\n<p>Damascus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Cody Kim\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:44.04 to win by 1.5 seconds. His second individual gold medal of the night came in the 500 free, where he breezed past the competition to win by 11 seconds in 4:37.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>AJ Navaleza\u00a0<\/strong>of Damascus got his hands to the wall first in the 100 breast with a time of 59.31 ahead of Governor Thomas Johnson&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Robert Xu\u00a0<\/strong>(59.33) as the only two competitors to sneak under the minute-mark.\u00a0Harford Tech&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mason Young\u00a0<\/strong>powered home to a two-second win in the 100 back, finisishing in 51.07.<\/p>\n<p>Patterson Mill&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alan Nguyen\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed his way to victory in the 50 free, posting a quick 22.09 for the win. He proved his sprint talent by also earning gold in the 100 free, clocking in at a swift 47.92.\u00a0His teammate,\u00a0<strong>Jack<\/strong> <strong>Leary<\/strong>,\u00a0flew to the top of the podium in the 100 fly, getting his hands to the wall in 51.47.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sean Lipscomb\u00a0<\/strong>(23.93), Leary (22.49),\u00a0<strong>Issara Ounnarath\u00a0<\/strong>(22.19) and Nguyen (21.88) combined to give Patterson Mill a 4&#215;50 free relay win in 1:30.49.\u00a0<strong>Noah Harley\u00a0<\/strong>(51.78), Leary (49.16), Ounnarath (48.27) and Nguyen (47.82) concluded the boys&#8217; meet by winning the 4&#215;100 free relay in a combined time of 3:17.03.<\/p>\n<h1>Girls Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Poolesville &#8211; 344<\/li>\n<li>Damascus &#8211; 281<\/li>\n<li>Easton &#8211; 153<\/li>\n<li>North Harford &#8211; 138<\/li>\n<li>Oakdale &#8211; 128<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Poolesville began their winning ways as the 4&#215;50 medley relay team of\u00a0<strong>Moshelle Borjigin\u00a0<\/strong>(27.90),\u00a0<strong>Helena Narisu\u00a0<\/strong>(30.83),\u00a0<strong>Sophie Elliott\u00a0<\/strong>(28.12) and\u00a0<strong>Miranda Liu\u00a0<\/strong>(25.73) won in 1:52.58.\u00a0<strong>Autumn Wang\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.03) and\u00a0<strong>Rachel Ryan\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.18) earned gold and silver, respectively, in the 100 back to add to Poolesville&#8217;s point total.<\/p>\n<p>Borjigin cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:54.15 as the first of only four swimmers in the field to crack the two-minute barrier. Her third gold medal of the night came in the 500 free, where she posted a two-second victory in 5:08.25.<\/p>\n<p>Damascus&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Carly Sebring\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 200 IM, winning by eight seconds with a final time of 2:03.32. The freshman then went on to win the 100 free, besting the field by 1.5 seconds with a final time of 50.84.\u00a0La Plata&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Schueller\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed her way to victory in the 50 free with a quick time of 24.39.<\/p>\n<p>Paterson Mill&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katerina Lomis\u00a0<\/strong>was the first of the top three finishers to break 60 seconds int eh 100 fly, doing so with a winning time of 58.54.\u00a0Queen Anne&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>McKenzie Hemingway\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breast, getting her hands to the wall the fastest in 1:05.60.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kaitlyn Hunter\u00a0<\/strong>(25.33),\u00a0<strong>Veronica Ivanovskaya\u00a0<\/strong>(26.47),\u00a0<strong>Riley O&#8217;Leary\u00a0<\/strong>(26.75) and Sebring (23.65) combined in 1:42.20 to give Damascus a 4&#215;50 free relay title.
