Munster finished second in 1:30.68 and Fort Wayne Carroll took third in 1:31.10.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/junior-national-finalist-jake-mitchell-of-carmel-swim-club-verbals-to-michigan-for-class-of-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Future Michigan Wolverine<\/a> Mitchell<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:34.24 as the first of only four swimmers under the 1:40 barrier. His teammate Rothrock<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the runner-up spot in 1:39.07 while Chesterton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrew Alders\u00a0<\/strong>placed a close third in 1:39.11.<\/p>\n<p>Not too long after leading off the winning medley relay, Davis &#8211; who will join teammate Mitchell\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/michigan-secures-verbal-from-carmels-wyatt-davis-for-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in Ann Arbor in 2020<\/a> &#8211; was back in the pool to defend his state title in the 200 IM with a final time of 1:45.63. Second went to Fort Wayne Carroll&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tristan DeWitt <\/strong>in 1:47.27 while third belonged to Munster&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Holden Raffin\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:48.65.<\/p>\n<p>Franklin County and future Indiana Hoosier\u00a0<strong>Jacob Destrampe\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed his way to victory in the 50 free, racing to the wall with a quick 20.54. Highland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ethan Churilla\u00a0<\/strong>was right behind him in 20.56 for second while DeLong raced to third in 20.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caiden Lake\u00a0<\/strong>of Oak Hill dove to first on the 1-meter board, finishing with a final score of 525.85 for the win. Seymour&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Devin Ramsey\u00a0<\/strong>placed second with 522.85 points while Hamilton Southeastern&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nathan Barr\u00a0<\/strong>took third with a total score of 488.40.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after finishing second in the 200 IM, DeWitt found himself on top of the podium in the 100 fly with a winning time of 47.53. Munster&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grant Afman\u00a0<\/strong>(48.40) and Fort Wayne Carroll&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Yarian\u00a0<\/strong>(48.67) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Destrampe proved his sprint talent by adding the 100 free title in addition to his 50 free gold from earlier after sprinting to the wall in 44.78. It was deja-vu on the podium: Churilla again took silver in 44.97 as DeLong grabbed another bronze in 45.22.<\/p>\n<p>Mitchell dominated the 500 free, winning by 15 seconds in a blistering time of 4:16.72 en route to destroying\u00a0<strong>Kyle Whitaker&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2010 Indiana state record of 4:19.79. Rothrock (4:31.02) and Fisher&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aaron Frollo\u00a0<\/strong>(4:23.33) completed the top three.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Kok\u00a0<\/strong>(20.79), DeLong (21.26), Rothrock (20.72) and Mitchell (19.94) combined to post a two-second victory in the 4&#215;50 free relay with a time of 1:22.71 ahead of runner-up Franklin Community&#8217;s 1:24.41 and third-place finisher Chesterton&#8217;s 1:24.65.<\/p>\n<p>Davis&#8217; second individual gold medal of the day came in the 100 back, where he powered home to a win in 46.66 to crush the previous Indiana state record of 47.06 set by\u00a0<strong>Aaron Whitaker\u00a0<\/strong>back in 2014. Yarian was second in 48.28 and Raffin was third in 48.59.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kyle Adams\u00a0<\/strong>gave Munster their first-ever individual champion in program history by getting his hands to the wall first in the 100 breast with a time of 54.08. Fort Wayne Carroll&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack McCurdy\u00a0<\/strong>raced to second in 55.19 and Zionsville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Coleman Modglin\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 55.53.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel ended the meet with a bang as Mitchell (44.04), Rothrock (46.07), Hadley (44.92) and Davis (43.72) completed their relay sweep in record-setting fashion. Their time of 2:58.75 broke Chesterton&#8217;s previous state mark of 2:59.36 set in 2014.
