During the freestyle, Meyers extended her lead \u00a0by a body length and held it (4.12.41). Aztecs <\/span><b>Morgann McKennan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>Klara Thormalm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> put forth a close race with <\/span><b>McKennan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> out-touching <\/span><b>Thormalm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at the finish by 2 hundredths of a second for the gold (59.50). <\/span><b>Thormalm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> took the silver with a final time of 59.52.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the Aztecs swooping the top two spots, the race for third was on. CSU\u2019s <\/span><b>Madison Ward<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> took that spot with a final time of 1.00.02.
