The fourth day prelims session of the 2019 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships featured heats of the 200 fly, 100 back and 100 breast on Friday at Georgia.<\/p>\n
Women’s 200 Fly<\/strong> Women<\/strong><\/p>\n Kentucky: 4-4-2 Men<\/strong><\/p>\n Missouri: 6-3-1 Georgia freshmen took the top two seeds in the 200 fly to open Friday\u2019s session. Not only did they take the top two spots, but they tied.<\/p>\n Dakota Luther<\/strong> and Olivia Carter<\/strong> both took the top spot in 1:54.46, getting the Bulldogs off to a fast start heading into the weekend.<\/p>\n Texas A&M took the next two spots as sophomore Jing Quah<\/strong> finished in 1:55.19, followed by sophomore Taylor<\/strong> Pike<\/strong> (1:55.70).<\/p>\n Florida senior Georgia Marris<\/strong> took the fifth seed in 1:55.94, followed by Kentucky\u2019s Haley McIrney<\/strong> (1:56.04), Izzy Gati<\/strong> (1:56.06) and Georgia senior Caitlin Casazza<\/strong> (1:56.20).<\/p>\n Georgia continued the fast pace to open the men\u2019s portion of the session as sophomore Camden Murphy<\/strong> took the top seed in the 200 fly in 1:42.18.<\/p>\n He was just six hundredths ahead of South Carolina senior Fynn Minuth<\/strong>, who finished in 1:42.24.<\/p>\n Florida\u2019s Maxime Rooney<\/strong> was also not far being, taking the third spot in 1:42.32.<\/p>\n Texas A&M\u2019s Angel Martinez<\/strong> took the fourth seed (1:42.58), followed by Missouri junior Micah Slaton<\/strong> (1:42.80), Florida sophomore Erge Gezmis<\/strong> (1:43.36), Tennessee junior Marc Hinawi<\/strong> (1:43.66) and Auburn junior Santiago Grassi<\/strong> (1:43.85).<\/p>\n The women\u2019s 100 back is shaping up to have an epic final after a closely contested preliminary session.<\/p>\n Florida junior Sherridon Dressel<\/strong> took the top seed in 50.93, just one hundredth ahead of Auburn senior Aly<\/strong> Tetzloff<\/strong> (50.94).<\/p>\n Kentucky junior Asia Seidt<\/strong> took the third seed in 51.32 just ahead of Auburn senior Erin Falconer<\/strong> (51.43).<\/p>\n Missouri junior Haley Hynes<\/strong> took the fifth seed in 52.20, followed by Florida junior Emma Ball<\/strong> (52.28), Alabama freshman Rhyan White<\/strong> (52.57), Missouri sophomore Sarah Thompson<\/strong> (52.63).<\/p>\n Alabama junior Zane Waddell<\/strong> took the top seed in the men\u2019s 100 back, ahead of several close competitors.<\/p>\n Waddell finished in 45.21. Tennessee senior Joey Reilman<\/strong> and Florida freshman Kacper Stokowski<\/strong> tied for the second seed in 45.47.<\/p>\n Florida senior Bayley Main<\/strong> took the fourth seed in 45.66, followed by Missouri juniors Daniel Hein<\/strong> (45.79) and Nick Alexander<\/strong> (45.96), Texas A&M\u2019s Shaine Casas<\/strong> (45.98) and Georgia\u2019s Javier Acevedo<\/strong> (46.01).<\/p>\n Tennessee sophomore Nikol Popov<\/strong> surged to the top seed in the 100 breast, finishing in 58.62, an NCAA automatic qualifying time.<\/p>\n Texas A&M\u2019s Anna Belousova<\/strong> was just being in 59.16, taking the second seed.<\/p>\n LSU senior Summer Spradley<\/strong> took the third seed in 59.24, followed by Alabama senior Justine MacFarlane<\/strong> (59.64), Kentucky sophomore Bailey Bonnett<\/strong> (59.88), Texas A&M\u2019s Kylie Powers<\/strong> (59.93), Georgia junior Sofia Carnevale<\/strong> (1:00.06) and LSU junior Olivia Paskulin<\/strong> (1:00.10).<\/p>\n Missouri junior Caleb Hicks<\/strong> held off the field to take the top seed in the men\u2019s 100 breast to close out the swimming portion of the prelims session.<\/p>\n Hicks finished in 51.87, holding off Alabama senior Laurent Bams<\/strong> (51.96) and South Carolina\u2019s Itay Goldfaden<\/strong> (51.99).<\/p>\n Florida junior Marco Guarante<\/strong> took the fourth seed in 52.36, followed by Auburn senior Tommy Brewer<\/strong> (52.51), Missouri senior Jordan O\u2019Brien<\/strong> (52.52), Texas A&M junior Benjamin Walker<\/strong> (52.61), who tied for seventh with Tennessee freshman Michael Houlie<\/strong> (52.61).<\/p>\n The fourth day prelims session of the 2019 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships featured heats of the 200 fly, 100 back and 100 breast on Friday at Georgia.
