Thursday night\u2019s events consisted of the women\u2019s 500 free, women\u2019s 200 individual medley, women\u2019s 50 free, women\u2019s 3-meter diving and women\u2019s 400 medley relay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the 2019 Mountain West Conference&#8217;s first full day of competition, the teams scores are as follows: <\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">University of Nevada &#8211; 530.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">San Diego State University &#8211; 528<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Boise State University &#8211; 485<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">University of New Mexico &#8211; 316<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fresno State University &#8211; 311.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Colorado State University &#8211; 251. 5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">University of Wyoming &#8211; 241.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">University of Nevada, Las Vegas &#8211; 213.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">San Jose State University -186.5<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">U.S. Air Force Academy &#8211; 176<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the first individual races swum and meet records broken, the 2019 Mountain West Conference is currently a tight race between the University of Nevada Wolfpack and San Diego State University Aztecs. It\u2019s too soon to tell who will take home that conference ring but it will be an exciting meet to watch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2019-mountain-west-conference-day-2-day-2\/ncaa-college\/2019\/February\/21?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fncaa-college%3ForderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26page%3D1%26q%3Dmountain%2520west\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 2 Results.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Women\u2019s 500 Free<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the meets first individual race, the University of New Mexico (UNM) took home the first win of the night with Lobo senior <\/span><b>Adriana Palomino<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> coming in with a final time of 4.43.63. The outside smoke from lane 7 dropped over five seconds from her seed time to take home the gold.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following behind her was the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) freshman <\/span><b>Carissa Armijo <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">picking up her first individual top 3 conference finish of her college career (4.46.90). Rounding up the top three was the University of Nevada\u2019s (NEV) sophomore <\/span><b>Caitlyn<\/b> <b>McHugh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> taking home the bronze with a final time of 4.47.95. Pulling even farther ahead on the breaststroke leg of the race and keeping the lead, <\/span><b>Lima<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> took home the gold with a final time of 1.59.04.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A close race for the silver broke out between San Diego State University\u2019s (SDSU) junior <\/span><b>Courtney<\/b> <b>Vincent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and Colorado State University\u2019s (CSU) <\/span><b>Madison<\/b> <b>Ward<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. At the finish, <\/span><b>Vincent<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> out touched <\/span><b>Ward<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> for the silver with a final time of 1.59.91. <\/span><b>Ward<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> took the bronze with a 2.00.04. Following closely behind her, SDSU sisters <\/span><b>Alma Thormalm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> took the silver (22.60) and <\/span><b>Klara<\/b> <b>Thormalm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> took the bronze (22.70) rounded up the top three only a tenth of a second apart. On the final dive, <\/span><b>Vazquez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> captured the gold with a final score of 362.05 and second medal of the Mountain West Conference. Only a point behind her was <\/span><b>Urzua<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> with a final score of 361.20. SDSU\u2019s <\/span><b>Ximenia Lechuga Gonzalez <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">took home her second medal of the Mountain West Conference with the bronze (338.70). With this lead, SDSU Aztecs <\/span><b>Elliyana Ferrin, K. Thormalm, Vincent, and A. Thormalm <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">took home the gold (3.32.28) over BSU (3.36.58) by over a body length. On top of that, the Aztecs broke the previous Mountain West Conference record and picked up a NCAA \u201cB\u201d cut. Coming in third was the University of Nevada with a final time of 3.37.94.
