Four different schools won the four relays on the University of Georgia campus as Tennessee, Alabama, Texas A&amp;M and Florida each heard its fight song being played after victoriously winning relays.<\/p>\n<p>There were some monster splits on the first night as well with Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erika Brown<\/strong>, Alabama&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zane Waddell\u00a0<\/strong>and Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Braga Verhage\u00a0<\/strong>each put up noteworthy splits on the first night of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mikel Schreuders\u00a0<\/strong>broke the SEC meet record in the 200 free that had stood from 2011 by Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Conor Dwyer\u00a0<\/strong>(1:31.73). The team of\u00a0<strong>Meghan Small\u00a0<\/strong>(24.16),\u00a0<strong>Nikol Popov\u00a0<\/strong>(26.68),\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/maddy-banic-putting-tennessee-before-herself-at-final-sec-meet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maddy Banic<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(22.51) and\u00a0<strong>Erika Brown\u00a0<\/strong>(20.91) won the crown for the Vols as they dominated the field. Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Portz\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.57),\u00a0<strong>Claire Rasmus\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.06),\u00a0<strong>McKenna DeBever\u00a0<\/strong>(1:44.18) and\u00a0<strong>Sydney Pickrem\u00a0<\/strong>(1:42.66) won the race on the opening night of the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships from Athens, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>The Aggies held off a strong anchor leg by Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erika Brown<\/strong>, who came home in a 1:40.68, as the Vols finished in second. Brown was out in a blistering 47.98 on the first 100 of her leg but it was not enough as the Aggies&#8217; Pickrem held her off. Texas A&amp;M had a very experienced relay with three seniors on the end. Texas A&amp;M&#8217;s swim puts them ahead of USC (6:56.33) as the top time in the country this season.<\/p>\n<p>The fastest splits outside of the top team came from Tennessee&#8217;s Brown (1:40.68), Kentucky&#8217;s <strong>Asia Seidt\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.13),\u00a0Kentucky&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/geena-freriks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Geena Freriks<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.30) and Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Meghan Small\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.31)<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky also put up a good swim placing third at 6:56.23.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn (6:57.00), Georgia (6:58.01), Florida (7:01.32), South Carolina (7:05.22) and Missouri (7:10.37) also finished in the top eight.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/maxime-rooney-writing-short-stories-in-out-of-the-water\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maxime Rooney<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>came from behind to give Florida its ninth SEC 800 free relay title in the last ten years as the Gators swam a 6:10.50 to beat Missouri (6:11.77) and Texas A&amp;M (6:16.63). Florida had to swim from behind the whole race as\u00a0<strong>Trey Freeman\u00a0<\/strong>(1:33.83),\u00a0<strong>Khader Baqlah\u00a0<\/strong>(1:32.48),\u00a0<strong>Kieran Smith\u00a0<\/strong>(1:32.09) and\u00a0Rooney (1:32.10) won the title for the Gators.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri got off to a very quick start as\u00a0<strong>Mikel Schreuders\u00a0<\/strong>(1:31.61) broke the SEC meet record previously held by\u00a0<strong>Conor Dwyer\u00a0<\/strong>from Florida.\u00a0<strong>Giovanny Lima\u00a0<\/strong>(1:32.94),\u00a0<strong>Jack Dahlgren\u00a0<\/strong>(1:31.70) and\u00a0<strong>Kyle Leach\u00a0<\/strong>(1:35.52) finished in second for the Tigers.<\/p>\n<p>Florida and Missouri now have the top two times in the nation moving ahead of Texas
