The Chicago women put up an impressive performance in their home pool to take second while NYU finished third. On the men&#8217;s side, WashU finished runner-up and Chicago was third.<\/p>\n<h2>Women<\/h2>\n<p>NYU&#8217;s <strong>Honore Collins<\/strong> won two events this weekend. The junior took the 200 IM in 2:00.91 and the 200 fly in 2:01.80. Just on her heels in the 200 IM was a pair of Eagles. Senior\u00a0<strong>Julia Durmer\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 2:02.10 while her freshman teammate\u00a0<strong>Clio Hancock\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 2:03.68. Hancock was fourth in the 200 fly (2:04.96) while teammate\u00a0<strong>Maria Turcanu\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up in 2:04.48.<\/p>\n<p>Collins also finished third in the 400 IM (4:20.57). Durmer won that one in 4:19.66 while Hancock was a close second in 4:20.52.<\/p>\n<p>Durmer also won the mile in 16:52.76, ahead of six Violets. NYU freshman\u00a0<strong>Rachel Reistroffer\u00a0<\/strong>led the impressive NYU distance squad in 16:58.99. Reistroffer was also second in the 500 free (4:57.69) behind Turcanu in 4:55.29.<\/p>\n<p>Emory seniors\u00a0<strong>Meg Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Fiona Muir\u00a0<\/strong>went one-two in the 50 free in 23.32 and 23.44, respectively.\u00a0Muir won the 200 free in a UAA meet record 1:48.70 ahead of Taylor in 1:50.80. The duo also went one-two in the 100 free with Muir in at 50.12 and Taylor touching in 50.96.<\/p>\n<p>Case Western&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Suhan Mestha\u00a0<\/strong>was third in the 100 free with a 51.19 and fourth in the 50 free in 23.65.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor and Muir were the core of the Eagle freestyle relays. They combined with\u00a0<strong>Zoe Walker\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Hannah Lally\u00a0<\/strong>to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:33.04. Muir,\u00a0<strong>Lucy Daro<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Caroline Olson<\/strong>, and Taylor topped the 400 freestyle relay in 3:23.27 and Muri, Taylor, Turcanu, and Durmer posted a winning 7:27.54 in the 800 freestyle relay.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hadley Ackerman\u00a0<\/strong>won a close 100 butterfly, touching the wall in 56.09 to Daro&#8217;s 56.14 and Emory&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maria Kyle<\/strong>&#8216;s 56.15.<\/p>\n<p>Emory went one-two in the 100 backstroker with\u00a0<strong>Bethany Seagraves\u00a0<\/strong>touching first in 55.96. In the 200 backstroke her teammate\u00a0<strong>Gaige Elms\u00a0<\/strong>was first to the wall in 2:02.28.<\/p>\n<p>Emory swept the top three spots in the 100 breaststroke with senior\u00a0<strong>Ashley Daniels\u00a0<\/strong>first to the wall in 1:03.04 ahead of\u00a0Walker (1:03.80), and <strong>Edie Bates\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.82). Daniels (2:16.72) and Bates (2:18.95) were the first two to the wall in the 200 breaststroke.<\/p>\n<h3>Team Scores<\/h3>\n<pre>1. Emory University                   1943   2. Brandeis University                 325<\/pre>\n<h2>Men<\/h2>\n<p>WashU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Van Cleave\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 IM on night one. The senior touched in 1:48.32, as Emory&#8217;s senior\u00a0<strong>Zach Chen\u00a0<\/strong>also joined him under 1:50 in 1:49.53. Van Cleave went on to take the 200 breaststroke in 55.32. Van Cleave\u00a0out touched NYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Lum\u00a0<\/strong>2:00.49 to 2:00.76 to win the 200 breaststroke and complete his event sweep of the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>WashU&#8217;s senior\u00a0<strong>Brandon Lum\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 fly in 1:47.71, three seconds off his own NCAA record (1:44.56), but still two seconds ahead of the runner up,\u00a0<strong>Nick Ding\u00a0<\/strong>of Chicago (1:49.62). Emory freshman\u00a0<strong>HwaMin Sim\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 fly in 48.98.<\/p>\n<p>Emory senior\u00a0<strong>Trey Kolleck\u00a0<\/strong>was a double sprint freestyle winner, topping the 50 free in 20.56 and taking the 100 in 44.70.<\/p>\n<p>Defending NCAA Champion in the 100 backstroke,\u00a0<strong>Sage Ono\u00a0<\/strong>was a bit off his championship form this weekend (though he was likely not fully tapered). He posted a 50.67 in prelims, leaving him in the B final which he won in 49.65, well off his National Championship time of 47.62. Carnegie Mellon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Britton\u00a0<\/strong>won the event in 48.88. Britton made it a backstroke double, taking the 200 in 1:47.71.<\/p>\n<p>Ten of the top 11 finishers in the 400 IM were freshman, and the top eight were all under four minutes. Emory&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zach Lorson\u00a0<\/strong>got to the wall first in 3:55.26. WashU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nathan Katz\u00a0<\/strong>was runner up in 3:56.93.<\/p>\n<p>NYU&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Graham Chatoor<\/strong>, the male Rookie of the Year, beat defending National champion\u00a0<strong>Tom Gordon\u00a0<\/strong>4:27.89 to 4:27.95 in the 500 freestyle. Gordon came flying home in the final 100 yards to nearly close a second and a half gap, but it wasn&#8217;t quite enough.<\/p>\n<p>Chatoor won an equally close 1650 that also came down to the touch. There, the freshman led by four seconds at the 500. Gordon closed that margin down to two seconds at the 1000 and one at the 1500. Ultimately Chatoor got to the wall in 15:24.13, ahead of Gordon&#8217;s 15:24.20.<\/p>\n<p>Emory took the top four spots in the 200 freestyle. Sophomore\u00a0<strong>Kellen Stillman\u00a0<\/strong>was the only swimmer under 1:40, winning the event in 1:39.94.<\/p>\n<h3>Team Scores<\/h3>\n<pre>1. Emory University                   1848   2.
