NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Houston, Texas sprinter and high school junior\u00a0Ellie McLeod\u00a0<\/strong>will stay in-state for her college career after recently giving her verbal commitment to the Longhorns for the fall of 2020.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprint freestyler, McLeod swims year-round with Dads Swim Club and owns a pair of U.S. Open cuts. She achieved 100% lifetime bests at Juniors West in December and won four events at the Gulf Senior Meet in November. She capped off her extremely successful long course season with four best times at NCSAs this past summer where she finished fifth in the 100m free, sixth in the 50m free and tenth in the 200m free. McLeod was also a four-time finalist at College Station Speedo Sectionals last March where her highest finish was a 21st-place showing in the 100 free.<\/p>\n
