A trio of 6A relay records were broken, including a pair of state record-setting ones by Sunset girls and Jesuit boys.<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit won their seventh team title in the past 11 seasons &#8211; and first since 2016 &#8211; with 130 points against defending champion Sunset (99). Jesuit also won their fifth-straight boys&#8217; championship crown with a total score of 101 ahead of runner-up Central Catholic (77).<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osaa.org\/activities\/bsw\/results?div=6A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HERE<\/a> for full results.<\/p>\n<h1>Girls Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Jesuit &#8211; 130<br \/>\n2. Sunset &#8211; 99<br \/>\n3. Bend &#8211; 50<br \/>\n4. Oregon City &#8211; 47<br \/>\n5. Summit &#8211; 42<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit began their winning ways as the 4&#215;50 medley relay of\u00a0<strong>Sofia Nosack\u00a0<\/strong>(26.49),\u00a0<strong>Emma Matous\u00a0<\/strong>(30.90), <strong>Isabella Wallace\u00a0<\/strong>(25.04) and\u00a0<strong>Elise Kreutzer\u00a0<\/strong>(23.41) opened the meet in 1:45.84.<\/p>\n<p>Wallace then went on to sprint her way to a personal victory in the 100 free, touching the wall in 50.54. Nosack also powered home to a win in the 500 free with a time of 4:59.00 as the only swimmer to break five minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Gardner<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free as the only swimmer in the field under the 1:50 mark, doing so in 1:48.41 for a new 6A record. Shortly after, she was back in the water to win her second gold after posting a time of 54.68 in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Sunset&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tia Lindsay\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 IM by two full seconds by throwing down a time of 2:00.80 in finals and also won the 100 back in 54.98. She led off her team&#8217;s winning free relay in 23.55, joining teammates\u00a0<strong>Kiki Lindsay\u00a0<\/strong>(24.54),\u00a0<strong>Hannah Trainer\u00a0<\/strong>(23.83) and Gardner (23.14) in 1:35.06.\u00a0T. Lindsay (50.42), K. Lindsay (53.03), Trainer (51.52) and Gardner (50.01) also set a new overall state and 6A record in the 4&#215;100 with a combined time of 3:24.98.<\/p>\n<p>Aloha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kaitlyn Dobler\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed her way to a win in the 50 free in a quick 22.50 to win by well over a full second, although she was just shy of her own state and 6A mark of 22.35 she set last season. She also won the 100 breast in 1:00.92, again just off her own records of 59.89.<\/p>\n<h1>Boys Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Jesuit &#8211; 101<br \/>\n2. Central Catholic &#8211; 77<br \/>\n3. Newberg &#8211; 53<br \/>\n4. West Linn &#8211; 49<br \/>\n5. Mountain View &#8211; \u00a039<\/p>\n<p>Jesuit began their quest for the team title by winning the 4&#215;50 medley relay as\u00a0<strong>Nick Simoons\u00a0<\/strong>(24.35), <strong>Marco Nosack\u00a0<\/strong>(26.59),\u00a0<strong>Noah Duyck\u00a0<\/strong>(23.57) and\u00a0<strong>Matthias Kreutzer\u00a0<\/strong>(21.25) combined in 1:35.76.\u00a0Simons later won the 100 back in 51.64 and Nosack got his hands to the wall first in the 100 breast in 57.23.<\/p>\n<p>Thornbrue set a new Oregon state and 6A record in the 200 free, throwing down a time of 1:37.27 to finish first ahead of\u00a0Jesuit&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Trent Martinez\u00a0<\/strong>(1:37.71). He also won the 500 free by five seconds &#8211; again ahead of Martinez (4:31.16) &#8211; in 4:26.04, just shy of the state and 6A mark of 4:25.21.<\/p>\n<p>It was another close race in the 200 IM as only .04 separated gold and silver. Central Catholic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Keil\u00a0<\/strong>ultimately won in 1:50.05, slightly ahead of Tigard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ben Miller\u00a0<\/strong>(1:50.09). Miller then flew to the top of the podium in 48.59 as the only swimmer to sneak under the 50-second mark.<\/p>\n<p>Central Catholic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Spencer Adrian\u00a0<\/strong>sprinted his way to gold in the 50 free in 21.20, just ahead of West Linn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kevin Vu\u00a0<\/strong>(21.24) and South Eugene&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anzo DeGiulio\u00a0<\/strong>(21.28). DeGiulio then won the 100 free in 45.95, two-hundredths ahead of\u00a0<strong>Griffin McKean\u00a0<\/strong>(45.96) of Mountain View.<\/p>\n<p>Newburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zach Jordan\u00a0<\/strong>(21.98),\u00a0<strong>Elijah Clements\u00a0<\/strong>(21.10), <strong>Ty<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Patterson\u00a0<\/strong>(21.88) and\u00a0<strong>Trey Fincher\u00a0<\/strong>(21.15) won the 4&#215;50 free relay in 1:26.11 to break the 6A record and were just off the overall state mark of 1:26.08.<\/p>\n<p>Martinez (45.93), Duyck (48.45), Kreutzer (46.59) and Nosack (46.70) secured Jesuit&#8217;s team win with a dominant performance in the 4&#215;100 to conclude the meet.
