Western Albemarle &#8211; 503<br \/>\n2. York &#8211; 243<br \/>\n3. Hidden Valley &#8211; 218<br \/>\n4. Brookville &#8211; 217<br \/>\n5. Fluvanna County &#8211; 143<\/p>\n<p>York&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Fields\u00a0<\/strong>(24.40),\u00a0<strong>Nick Barrows\u00a0<\/strong>(28.43),\u00a0<strong>Jacob Rice\u00a0<\/strong>(23.66) and <strong>Andrew Creelman\u00a0<\/strong>(22.47) began the meet by winning the 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:38.96. Fields then went on to claim an individual gold in the 100 back with a time of 51.89.<\/p>\n<p>Lamb<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:39.51 to break\u00a0<strong>Greg Reed&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2017 Class 3 record of 1:39.96. He did the same thing in the 100 free, winning the race in 45.16 to crush his own Class 3 mark of 46.15 set last season.<\/p>\n<p>Western Albemarle&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Hargrove\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 IM in 1:51.49, just ahead of the runner-up\u00a0<strong>Nick Talati\u00a0<\/strong>(1:51.94) of Tabb. Talati was the only swimmer in the field to crack the 50-second barrier in the 100 fly, doing so in 49.80 for the victory. Hargrove also won the 500 free in 4:38.17.<\/p>\n<p>Spotswood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Evan Weakley\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed his way to a win in the 50 free, posting a quick 21.54 ahead of Western Albemarle&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tyce Winter<\/strong> (21.65).\u00a0Christiansburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caleb Hatcher\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the 1-meter board with a final score of 399.35.\u00a0Hidden Valley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Collin Myburgh\u00a0<\/strong>was the only swimmer in the field to go under the minute-marker in the 100 breast, getting his hands to the wall the fastest in 57.31.<\/p>\n<p>Western Albemarle continued their winning ways as the 4&#215;50 free relay squad of Lamb (20.84), Winter (21.10),\u00a0<strong>Jason Heilman\u00a0<\/strong>(22.48) and Hargrove (20.97) won in 1:25.39, setting a new Class 3 record. Lamb&#8217;s lead-off split of 20.84 eclipsed the previous Class 3 mark of 20.85 set by\u00a0<strong>Aaron James\u00a0<\/strong>in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Western Albemarle concluded their dominant meet by winning the 4&#215;100 free relay. The team of\u00a0<strong>Stephane Karp\u00a0<\/strong>(48.83), <strong>Peyton Wray\u00a0<\/strong>(49.22), Hargrove (46.96) and Lamb (45.32) won in 3:10.33, breaking the old Class 3 mark of 3:11.41.<\/p>\n<h1>Girls Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1.\u00a0Western Albemarle &#8211; 338.5<br \/>\n2. York &#8211; 328.5<br \/>\n3. Fluvanna County &#8211; 225<br \/>\n4. Monticello &#8211; 204<br \/>\n5. Tabb &#8211; 168<\/p>\n<p>Fluvanna County started the girls meet with a win in the 4&#215;50 medley relay as the team of\u00a0<strong>Maialen Sudupe\u00a0<\/strong>(27.12),\u00a0<strong>Abigayle Harlow\u00a0<\/strong>(29.92),\u00a0<strong>Allyson Lounsbury\u00a0<\/strong>(27.17) and\u00a0<strong>Abigail Fuller\u00a0<\/strong>(23.54) won in 1:47.75. Their 4&#215;50 free relay squad of Sudupe (25.22),\u00a0<strong>Emma DiFazio\u00a0<\/strong>(26.09), Harlow (23.97) and Fuller (23.58) also won in 1:38.86.<\/p>\n<p>Cave Spring&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Suzanne Harris\u00a0<\/strong>dropped nearly three seconds from her prelims time to win the 200 IM in 2:05.63.\u00a0Tabb&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Meagan Turner<\/strong> narrowly won the 100 breast in 1:06.23, only three-hunderedths faster than runner-up\u00a0<strong>Elisabeth Bendall\u00a0<\/strong>(1:06.26) of Monticello.<\/p>\n<p>Monticello freshman\u00a0<strong>Izzy Bradley\u00a0<\/strong>sprinted to first in the 50 free, posting a swift 23.67 to finish just ahead of runner-up\u00a0<strong>Kimberley Large\u00a0<\/strong>(23.71) of Abingdon. Large then went on to win the 100 free by exactly one second in 51.89.<\/p>\n<p>Monticello&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Athena Vanyo\u00a0<\/strong>flew to the top of the podium in the 100 fly, touching the wall in 55.06 ahead of Tabb&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tristan Harrison\u00a0<\/strong>(55.11). Harrison later won the 100 back in 56.10 ahead of Bradley (56.21).<\/p>\n<p>Senior Mills<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the 1-meter board with a final score of 503.55 to break\u00a0<strong>Mary Yarrison&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2003 overall state record of 483.50 as well as\u00a0<strong>Brooke Leftwich&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2018 Class 3 mark of 480.45.<\/p>\n<p>York&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Garner\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:53.43 for the win.
