Headed by 2012 Olympic and Texas head men\u2019s coach <strong>Eddie Reese<\/strong>, 2017 World University Games and head women\u2019s coach <strong>Carol Capitani<\/strong>, associate head women\u2019s coach <strong>Roric Fink<\/strong> and 2018 Team USA Pan Pac\u00a0and assistant men\u2019s coach <strong>Wyatt Collins<\/strong>, the Longhorns Swim Camp is the most exciting camp in the country! \u00a0Guest coaches and speakers include Olympians and National Team members <strong>Ian Crocker<\/strong>, <strong>Josh Davis<\/strong>, <strong>Colleen Lanne-Cox<\/strong>, <strong>Garrett Weber-Gale<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Whitney Hedgepeth<\/strong>, <strong>Kathleen Hersey<\/strong>, <strong>Will Licon<\/strong>, <strong>Madisyn Cox<\/strong>, and <strong>Jimmy Feigen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Camp is held at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center on the University of Texas at Austin campus, home to 23\u00a0NCAA team champions.\u00a0 Facility includes a 50-meter by 25-yard pool, and 25-yard by 25-meter pool.\u00a0 Ranked by Sports Illustrated in 2002 as the second fastest pool in the United States, it is one of the premier competitive aquatic facilities in the world. Since its completion in 1977, there have been numerous American and World records set in its waters.<\/p>\n<p>Each camp consists of four training groups based on age and ability, with a 1:7 coach\/swimmer ratio in technique sessions.\u00a0 Daily training includes challenging long-course sessions Monday-Friday mornings; technique sessions Monday &#8211; Thursday afternoons and evenings, with start\/turn work included.\u00a0 Swimmers will also take part in classroom sessions on technique and race strategies. Underwater video of each camper is analyzed by a coach. \u00a0Daily social activities and field trips are offered.\u00a0 Multiple-week stays include planned weekend activities with supervision.\u00a0 Experienced, mature, adult staff provide 24-hour supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Open to male and female competitive swimmers, ages 8 to 18.\u00a0 Per NCAA rules, sport camps and clinics conducted by The University of Texas are open to all entrants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Longhorns Swim Camp Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Session 1: May 26-31<\/p>\n<p>Session 2: June 2-7<\/p>\n<p>Session 3: June 9-14<\/p>\n<p>Session 4: June 16-21<\/p>\n<p>Session 5: June 23-38\u00a0 (Special Head Coach Ian Crocker)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Longhorns Swim Camp Cost:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Overnight Camp $1055<\/p>\n<p>Day Camp $955<\/p>\n<p>Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp.\u00a0 NCAA guidelines prohibit payment of camp expenses by a representative of The University of Texas\u2019 athletics interest.
