Her time also broke <\/span><b>Alyssa Marsh\u2019s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> North Carolina State record of 53.23.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Curzan made a big drop in this event at Winter Juniors in December, breaking 52 for the first time with a 51.92 while representing the TAC Titans. Her previous best had been a 52.48 from February of 2018, and she already owns the NAG records for 11-12 year olds for yards in the 50 and 100 fly and the 13-14 record as part of the 200 medley relay. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just a freshman at Cardinal Gibbons, Curzan was less than one-tenth of a second away from breaking the National Independent High School record held by <\/span><b>Katie McLaughlin <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(51.51).
