Tonight<\/p>\n<p>The evening&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/glvcsports.com\/documents\/2019\/2\/6\/\/2019_GLVC_Wed_Finals_Heat_Sheet.pdf?id=2981\">heat sheet<\/a>\u00a0was as followed. Tonight&#8217;s finals place Drury on top for the women and Missouri S&amp;T on top for men.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2019-great-lakes-valley-converence-day-1-day-1\/ncaa-college\/2019\/February\/6?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 results<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 1000 Free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Drury took the top two spots, with freshman <strong>Allison Weber<\/strong> leading to pack with a time of 10:02.05. Weber dropped two seconds from her entry time. Junior <strong>Erica Dahlgren<\/strong> took second, with a time of 10:09.06. Quickly behind followed was Bellarmine&#8217;s <strong>Rachel Walker<\/strong> with a time of 10:10.81.<\/p>\n<p>Just two seconds behind Walker was fourth place finisher <strong>Laura Boardman<\/strong> (10:12.86) followed by <strong>Melanie Arnold<\/strong> (10:16.07), <strong>Katelynn Thomas<\/strong> (10:18.36), <strong>Karianne Reinertsen<\/strong> (10:18.94), and <strong>Shannon Dague<\/strong> (10:22.41).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 1000 free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A trio of sophomores lead the event. Indy\u2019s <strong>Adam Rosipal<\/strong> dropped over three seconds from his entry time, swimming in at 9:13.22. Closely behind his team mate was <strong>Cody Liske<\/strong>, taking silver with a time of 9:15.31. Missouri S&amp;T\u2019s <strong>Aaron Taske<\/strong> took the bronze with a time 9:15.89.<\/p>\n<p>McKendree\u2019s <strong>Throstur Bjarnason<\/strong> finished in fourth (9:19.02), followed by <strong>Tim Samuelsen<\/strong> (9:19.75), <strong>Patryk Golinski<\/strong> (9:21.43), <strong>Alexander Graham<\/strong> (9:22.96), and <strong>Rhys Taylor<\/strong> (9:29.82).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 200 IM<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Drury topped the podium finishes with Junior <strong>Bailee Nunn<\/strong> leading the way with a time of 1:57.68, beating her entry time by almost five seconds. Second went to freshman <strong>Tori Sopp<\/strong>, with a time of 2:00.52. Fellow freshman <strong>Bec Cross<\/strong> finished with a time of 2:03.24.<\/p>\n<p>Indy\u2019s <strong>Sasha Shatskikh<\/strong> finished closed behind Cross for a fourth-place finish (2:04.34), followed by <strong>Darian Murray<\/strong> (2:04.40), <strong>Natalie Galluzzo<\/strong> (2:04.65), and <strong>Krystal Caylor<\/strong> (2:05.38). <strong>Amber Visser<\/strong> took eighth place with a time of 2:07.36.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Missouri S&amp;T\u2019s freshman <strong>Andy Huffman<\/strong> led the tight pack with a time of 1:48.57. Closely behind followed Indy\u2019s <strong>Rodrigo Codo<\/strong> <strong>Berti<\/strong> with a time of 1:48.99. Bronze went to Drury\u2019s <strong>Young Tae Seo<\/strong>, with a time of 1:49.08.<\/p>\n<p>Indy\u2019s <strong>Antonio Milin<\/strong> took a close fourth with a time of 1:49.35, followed by <strong>Andrew Rodriguez<\/strong> (1:49.44), <strong>Pavel Semochkin<\/strong> (1:49.55), <strong>Ethan Shih<\/strong> (1:49.79), and <strong>Parker Benn<\/strong> (1:50.15).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 50 Free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Drury\u2019s <strong>Yasmin Preusse<\/strong> finished in first with a time of 23.18. Indy\u2019s <strong>Kirsten Votava<\/strong> finished behind Preusse with a time of 23.25, followed by Drury\u2019s <strong>Abby Lunzmann<\/strong> with a time of 23.46.<\/p>\n<p>The fourth-place finisher was Indy\u2019s <strong>Sefanie Haholiades<\/strong> with a time of 23.53, who out touched Lewis University\u2019s <strong>Ebony McCray<\/strong> (23.54). Closely followed was <strong>Johanna Buys<\/strong> (23.79), <strong>Izzi Clark<\/strong> (23.82), and <strong>Laura Pareja<\/strong> (23.95).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 50 Free<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>McKendree University took their first gold with <strong>Xander Skinner<\/strong> touching in at 19.85. Missouri S&amp;T\u2019s <strong>Christopher Betts<\/strong> took silver with a time of 19.94. Third place went to Missouri S&amp;T\u2019s <strong>Matija Pucarevic<\/strong> with a time of 20.05.<\/p>\n<p>Two tenths behind Pucarevic, Lewis\u2019 <strong>Guillaume Bolivard<\/strong> took fourth with a time of 20.25. Closely followed was <strong>Morgan Meyer<\/strong> (20.32), <strong>Victor Antonon Rodriguez<\/strong> and <strong>Gabriel Jimenez<\/strong> tied for sixth with a time of 20.41, and Indy\u2019s <strong>Guilherme Zavaneli<\/strong> finished eighth with a time of 20.47.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women\u2019s 200 Medley Relay<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Wednesday evening capped off with a set of 200-medley relays. Drury dominated the event, finishing in a time of 1:40.96. Bellarmine took second in the heat, with a time of 1:42.91. The bronze went to Indy with a time of 1:43.82.<\/p>\n<p>Truman State took the fourth-place finish with a time of 1:44.63. Followed closely behind was Lewis University (1:45.60), McKendree (1:45.86), William Jewell (1:46.30), and University of Missouri St. Louis (1:48.55).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men\u2019s 200 Medley Relay<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>With times finishing within three one hundredths of each other, Indy slid in first with a time of 1:28.22. Just one one-hundredth behind Indy followed Missouri S&amp;T with a time of 1:28.23. Drury took the bronze with a close time of 1:28.25.<\/p>\n<p>McKendree took fourth, with a time of 1:30.27, followed by Lewis (1:30.57), Missouri St. Louis (1:30.66), and Bellarmine (1:32.36). The final finish of the night was Truman State, with a time of 1:32.56.<\/p>\n<p>Thursday morning\u2019s session includes the following three events: the 400 IM, 100 fly, and 200 free.
