NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Aldie, Va. native and high school junior\u00a0Sam Oliver<\/strong> has recently announced his verbal commitment to Auburn University as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

A freestyler who gets faster as the distance gets longer, Oliver swims year-round with Snow Swimming and owns three Summer Juniors standards with the U.S. Open cut in the mile. He achieved 100% best times at Juniors East where he placed sixth in the mile and 14th in the 500 free before going on to take fourth in the 400m free and sixth in the 1500m free at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Knoxville.<\/p>\n

He also won the 400m\/800m\/1500m free combo at ISCA Seniors to conclude his long course season this past summer and took 18th in the mile at NCSAs last March.\u00a0While representing John Champe High School, Oliver is a four-time Virginia State Championship finalist.\u00a0He won the 500 free and placed tenth in the 200 free during his sophomore season after taking seventh and tenth, respectively, in those events as a freshman.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t wait to be a Tiger and represent the school! WAR EAGLE!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
