She recorded a pair of lifetime bests at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Columbus this past summer and had three second swims at Illinois Seniors last March. Also competing for Addison Trail High School, Haake placed tenth in the 200 free at the Illinois State Championships during her senior year.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;I\u2019m so excited and grateful to be a part of the Purdue Family!\u00a0 I never could have imagined having this opportunity after finding this sport in middle school.\u00a0 I\u2019m so thankful for everyone who supported me and believed in me, I can\u2019t wait to be a Boiler!!\u00a0 BOILER UP, HAMMER DOWN!!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 24.08<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 51.72<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:51.28<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 5:03.73<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When she arrives in West Lafayette as a member of the class of 2023, Haake will add her talents to a freestyle group that&#8217;ll include\u00a0<strong>Maizie Seidl<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Megan Johnson<\/strong>.
