NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Carmel, Ind. freestyler\u00a0Jake Mitchell<\/strong> has verbally committed to the University of Michigan and will suit up for the Wolverines in the fall of 2020.<\/p>\n

Mitchell swims year-round with Carmel Swim Club and owns five Summer National cuts with the\u00a0U.S. Open standards in the 200\/500 free. He most recently competed at Juniors East in December where he placed third in the mile, fourth in the 500 free and ninth in the 200 free. The NISCA All-American achieved 100% lifetime bests at Junior Nationals this past summer where he was the runner-up in the mile. Also competing for Carmel High School, Mitchell won the 500 free at the Indiana State Championships during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
