Feb. 25. THE Case Western Reserve men\u2019s swim team
\nhosted the first annual Veale Classic this past Saturday at the Veale Center at CWU. Denison University won the classic with 585 points. Host Case Western was second among the 11 participating teams with 505 points.<\/p>\n
Event winners for the Case Western Spartans included:<\/p>\n
the 200 yard freestyle relay team of freshman Kevin
\nDay (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), freshman Chris Cook (Worthington, OH), senior Jeffrey Erickson (Ft. Wayne, IN), and freshman Nate Davis (Broadview Hts., OH) with a time of 1:25.72; <\/p>\n
the 200 yard medley relay team of senior Jeffrey Erickson, sophomore Andrew Detwiler (Ft. Atkinson, WI), senior Mike Iacchei (Bel Air, MD), and freshman Kevin Day with a time of 1:38.19; <\/p>\n
senior John Gellin (Buffalo NY) in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 52.70; <\/p>\n
freshman Nate Davis in the 200 yard freestyle with a NCAA \u201cB\u201d cut time of 1:43.11; <\/p>\n
freshman John Keltz (Bradford PA) in the 200 yard
\nbreaststroke with a time of 2:13.63. <\/p>\n
The next meet on the Div. III men's schedule is the NCAA Championships March 20-22.<\/p>\n
Denison also emerged victorious in the women's meet with a score of 580 points, tops among the eight participating teams. Case Western Reserve finished second with a score of 380. <\/p>\n

sophomore Alicia Kendig (Lancaster, PA) in the 200 yard IM with a NCAA \u201cB\u201d cut time of 2:12.16. <\/p>\n
