NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Greenville, South Carolina breaststroker and IMer\u00a0Anna Havens Rice\u00a0<\/strong>has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Currently a high school junior, Havens Rice does her club swimming with Team Greenville and owns the U.S. Open standards in both breaststroke and both IM events. She placed tenth in the 200 IM and 20th in the 200 breast at Juniors East last month after taking fourth in the 200m IM at Junior Nationals this past summer. While competing for Greenville High School, Havens Rice has gone undefeated in the 100 breast\/200 IM combo each of her three seasons thus far. She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming career at the University of Kentucky!! As soon as I stepped foot on campus, I knew that was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life!
