{"id":347974,"date":"2019-01-20T14:16:19","date_gmt":"2019-01-20T21:16:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=347974"},"modified":"2019-01-21T10:06:33","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T17:06:33","slug":"speedo-winter-invitational-day-three-timed-finals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/speedo-winter-invitational-day-three-timed-finals\/","title":{"rendered":"NBAC&#8217;s Daniel Brannon and Angel Kadoorie Dominate 10-and-Under Events at Speedo Winter Invite"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One day after beating a <strong>Michael Phelps\u00a0<\/strong>meet record in the 50 fly at the Speedo Winter Invite, 10-year-old North Baltimore swimmer\u00a0<strong>Daniel Branon<\/strong> won all three 10-and-under boys&#8217; events and took down another mark set by the greatest swimmer of all time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iN95s1cfNus\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Brannon finished first in the 50 back (35.52), 100 free (1:07.31) and 100 fly (1:09.82). His time in the 100 fly smashed the Phelps meet record (1:11.89) set back in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, North Baltimore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Angel Kadoorie\u00a0<\/strong>matched Branon in winning all three 10-and-under girls&#8217; events contested on the day: the 50 fly (38.42), 100 free (1:11.72) and 100 fly (1:17.30).<\/p>\n<p>Long Island&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brooke Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>won the 11-12 girls&#8217; 100 free in 1:02.84, with teammate\u00a0<strong>Prais Okodogbe\u00a0<\/strong>winning the 50 fly (30.19). Also for LIAC, <strong>Briana Racanello\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 IM (2:34.18). North Baltimore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Campbell Chandler<\/strong> won the 100 back in 1:10.77.<\/p>\n<p>Long Island again dominated the 11-12 boys&#8217; events, but their two-day win streak was broken as <strong>Charlie Kulp<\/strong> won the 100 free for Berkeley in 1:02.83. But LIAC still had three event winners on the day, with\u00a0<strong>Ethan Nus\u00a0<\/strong>in the 50 fly (30.91),\u00a0<strong>Matthew Peitler\u00a0<\/strong>in the 100 back (1:10.80) and\u00a0<strong>Aidan McCarthy\u00a0<\/strong>in the 200 IM (2:32.91).<\/p>\n<p>Berkeley&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsey Katt\u00a0<\/strong>placed first in the 13-14 girls&#8217; 400 free in 4:35.64, and BAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lily Barisonek\u00a0<\/strong>was victorious in the 100 breast (1:16.86). LIAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kiki Kennedy\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 fly for that age group in 1:07.28, and\u00a0NBAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kim Kelly\u00a0<\/strong>got the win in the 200 back (2:27.83).<\/p>\n<p>North Baltimore won all four 13-14 boys&#8217; events, with\u00a0<strong>Sam Kamdin\u00a0<\/strong>leading the way with 400 free (4:27.38) and 200 back (2:19.14) triumphs. Teammate\u00a0<strong>Ryan Merani\u00a0<\/strong>broke a six-year-old meet record with a 59.00 to win the 100 fly, and\u00a0<strong>Brody Schrepfer\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breast
