NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>NC State has gained a new in-state verbal commitment for this upcoming fall from Matthews, North Carolina native\u00a0Maddy\u00a0<\/strong>Flicking<\/b>er<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Flickinger does her club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina and owns a trio of U.S. Open cuts with four additional Winter Juniors standards. She finished seventh in the 200 back at Juniors East last month after competing in three events at Winter Nationals. She placed 11th in the 100m back at Junior Nationals this past summer after finaling in the 50m back at Phillips 66 Nationals.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Weddington High School, Flickinger is a six-time North Carolina 3A State Championship finalist. She was the runner-up in both the 100 back and 200 IM as a junior after winning the 100 back and taking second in the 200 IM during her sophomore season. She has also earned NISCA All-American honors twice during her career.<\/p>\n
