Age group action kicked off at the Speedo Winter Invitational Friday afternoon in Piscataway, N.J., with 20 events of timed finals contested.\u00a0Swimming World<\/em> and\u00a0SwimCast\u00a0<\/em>were there to capture the action, and all race videos will be available shortly.<\/p>\n

In the 13-14 girls age group, North Baltimore’s\u00a0Grace Black\u00a0<\/strong>was victorious in both the 100 back (1:07.90) and 200 IM (2:30.32), while teammate\u00a0Logan Betkey\u00a0<\/strong>took first in the 200 free (2:12.48). Berkeley’s\u00a0Lily Barisonek<\/strong> won the 200 breast in 2:49.16.<\/p>\n

Sam Kamdin\u00a0<\/strong>from North Baltimore captured wins in the 13-14 boys’ 200 free (2:02.98) and 100 back (1:03.31). Long Island’s\u00a0Allan Chu<\/strong> won the 200 breast in 2:40.90, and NBAC’s\u00a0Ryan Merani\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 IM in 2:20.76.<\/p>\n

The Long Island Aquatic Club dominated the 11-12 girls and boys’ events. For the girls,\u00a0Jacqueline Constantine\u00a0<\/strong>winning the 50 breast (32.96),\u00a0Brooke Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>topping the field in the 400 free (4:42.61) and\u00a0April Chun\u00a0<\/strong>touching first in the 50 breast (39.05). For the boys,\u00a0Matthew Peitler\u00a0<\/strong>won the 50 back (33.08),\u00a0Sean Green\u00a0<\/strong>won the 400 free (4:41.72) and\u00a0Sebastian Gomez<\/strong> claimed the 50 breast (35.91).<\/p>\n

Kiera Harkins\u00a0<\/strong>won the 10-and-under girls’ 50 free for Berkeley in 32.96, while North Baltimore’s\u00a0Carley Bendis\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 back in 1:25.30 and\u00a0NBAC’s\u00a0Chrissy Furlow\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breast in 1:33.21.<\/p>\n

For the 10-and-under boys, NBAC’s\u00a0Daniel Brannon<\/strong> won the 50 free (30.58),\u00a0NBAC’s\u00a0Charlie Lakatta\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 back (1:16.71) and Long Island’s\u00a0Andrew Koek\u00a0<\/strong>won the 100 breast (1:23.02).<\/p>\n
