The time is right around what he swam in January of 2017 at this meet (15:13.45).<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee teammates <strong>Taylor Abbott<\/strong> and <strong>Sam Rice <\/strong>had a\u00a0much closer battle as they swam stroke-for-stroke through the 1400. Abbott ended up pulling away in the final 100 to take second in 15:42.72. Sandpipers&#8217; <strong>Brennan Gravley<\/strong> had a strong final 400 meters to make up ground and pass Rice for the final podium spot in 15:43.77. Rice picked up the fourth spot in 15:44.59.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Connor Daniels<\/strong> finished fifth in the heat and eighth overall in 16:15.18. In the heat, he was followed by <strong>Raben Dommann<\/strong> (16:18.75) and <strong>Ryley McRae<\/strong> (16:34.09). <strong>Christian Bayo<\/strong> (fifth &#8211; 16:05.85), <strong>Sam Oliver<\/strong> (sixth &#8211; 16:10.46) and <strong>Owen Lloyd<\/strong> (seventh &#8211; 16:10.70) all made the top eight from the preliminary heats.<\/p>\n<pre><b> Event 27  Men 1500 LC Meter
