The swim is the twelfth-best performance of her career. Last year, Ledecky did not swim this event until May, where she set the World, American, U.S. Open and Pro Swim Series Records. She was out far ahead of the field from the first fifty and never let up.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, veteran <strong>Ashley Twichell<\/strong>\u00a0maintained the second spot from start to finish. She raced to a time of 16:13.03 ahead of Sandpipers of Nevada&#8217;s <strong>Erica Sullivan<\/strong> in 16:29.23. Both women were also off their personal bests, but have not swam this event this early in recent years.<\/p>\n<p>15-year-old <strong>Mariah Denigan<\/strong> took fourth (16:31.48) and was followed by <strong>Becca Mann<\/strong> (16:32.55), <strong>Amanda Nunan<\/strong> (16:39.72), <strong>Marit Anderson<\/strong> (17:05.59) and <strong>Paige Kuwata<\/strong> (17:12.31). <strong>Averee
