FAYETTEVEVILLE, AR., Feb. 20. AFTER two days day of competition — but with only the diving events and the 200 medley relay having been completed — LSU leads the women's team scoring with 55 points and Kentucky tops the men with 73 at the 2002 Southeastern Conference Championships.<\/p>\n

The meet is taking place in the Frank G. Broyles Memorial Natatorium on the campus of the University of Arkansas, site of the 1985 women's NCAA Division 1 Championships.<\/p>\n

Alabama (54) is in second in the women's standings, followed by South Carolina (54), Tennessee (53), Florida (28) and Kentucky (21). Coach Jack Bauerle's defending-champ Georgia — treble-defending NCAA champs too — are tied with Kentucky, while next comes Arkansas (12) and Auburn (12).<\/p>\n

In the men's race after Kentucky's Wildcats come defending champ Auburn (48), Alabama (39), Tennessee (36), Florida (34), Georgia (33), S. Carolina (32) and LSU (15).<\/p>\n
