NEW COMMIT: <\/strong>NC State has earned a new in-state\nverbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from Raleigh, North Carolina\u2019s Abby Arens<\/strong>.<\/p>

Arens does\nher club swimming with Marlins of Raleigh and owns three U.S. Open cuts with a\nhandful of addition Winter Junior standards. She was the 200 breast runner-up\nat Juniors East last month after placing fifth in the 100 breast, seventh in\nthe 200 breast, 11th in the 200 IM and 14th in the 400 IM at Winter Nationals. She\nraced five events at Phillips 66 Nationals this past summer where she finaled\nin all three breaststroke events. The NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic\nAll-American won the 100 breast with four additional top-10 finishes at NCSAs\nlast March and won the 100 breast and 200 IM at the North Carolina 3A State\nChampionships during her sophomore season while representing Saint Mary\u2019s College Prep\nSchool.<\/p>
