The Warriors will compete in the\nPacific Collegiate Swimming Conference this upcoming fall as part of the NAIA. <\/p><p>\u201cI am humbled by the opportunity to coach Bailey for her\ncollege swimming career,&#8221; said Westmont head coach <strong>Jill Jones-Lin<\/strong>. &#8220;After meeting with her, it was evident that\nshe is passionate about working hard and is a great teammate and leader. The fact\nthat she wants to help build the program from the ground up is a huge testament\nto her character.&#8221;<\/p><p>&#8220;I am most looking forward to helping establish\nWestmont\u2019s inaugural swim team,&#8221; said Lemmon. &#8220;I am excited to be a\npart of new beginnings at Westmont and to help lead a new group of athletes in\nand out of the pool. I am also really looking forward to swimming with Coach\nJones. It is evident she is passionate about the sport and wants to build a\nstrong, loving team atmosphere.&#8221;<\/p><p>&#8220;Bailey comes from a competitive background,&#8221;\nsaid Jones-Lin. &#8220;She broke four high school records, was league champion\nin the 50 and 100 freestyle in 2017, and was a four-time Coast Valley Athletic\nLeague High-Point winner. Additionally, Bailey qualified for the Central Coast\nSection Swimming Championships individually in the 50 and 100 free.&#8221;<\/p><p>Lemmon\u2019s best times include:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>50 free \u2013 24.68<\/li><li>100 free \u2013 54.42<\/li><li>100 back \u2013 1:00.93<\/li><li>100 fly \u2013 1:00.20<\/li><\/ul><p>&#8220;Bailey\u2019s best times would qualify her for the NAIA\nNational Championship meet,&#8221; noted Jones-Lin, &#8220;and I\u2019m excited about\nthe possibility of having an individual qualifier and a relay represent\nWestmont at the national championship meet.&#8221;<\/p><p>&#8220;In addition to the beautiful Santa Barbara campus,\nthe most appealing aspect of Westmont is the people,&#8221; said Lemmon on why\nshe selected Westmont. &#8220;Students are able to build relationships with\ntheir professors in and out of the classroom and the students are so welcoming\nand comforting. When you are on campus, you really feel the love. It&#8217;s like\neveryone truly wants you to be there.
