NEW COMMIT: <\/strong>East Falmouth, Mass. Breaststroker Francesca Pucillo has\nannounced her commitment to the University of Vermont and will join the\nCatamounts this fall.<\/p>

Pucillo\nswims year-round with the Cape Cod Firefish Swim Team and most recently raced\nat the New England Senior Championships in December where she finaled in the\n200 breast. She placed 10th in the 200m breast at Buffalo Speedo Sectionals and\nachieved a pair of lifetime bests at the New England 15-18 Age Group\nChampionships last March. Pucillo also represented Bishop Stang High School at the Massachusetts\nDII State Championships as a junior where she placed tenth in the 200 free and\n11th in the 100 breast. <\/p>

She told Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>

\u201cI am so excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at the University of Vermont! UVM has so many amazing opportunities both academically and athletically. As soon as I walked on campus I felt at home in Burlington with the team and Coach Gerry.
