{"id":344272,"date":"2018-12-28T16:41:26","date_gmt":"2018-12-28T23:41:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=344272"},"modified":"2018-12-29T06:57:11","modified_gmt":"2018-12-29T13:57:11","slug":"us-mens-water-polo-team-hosts-italy-for-a-three-match-series-in-california","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/us-mens-water-polo-team-hosts-italy-for-a-three-match-series-in-california\/","title":{"rendered":"US Men\u2019s Water Polo Team Hosts Italy for a Three-Match Series in Southern California"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To close out their 2018 season, the U.S. Senior Men\u2019s National Team has invited a few friends into town\u2014specifically, the Italian National Team\u2014for a three game set that starts tonight at Foothill High School, 7 p.m. (PST) in Tustin, CA.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow the action moves to Chapman University in Orange at 4 p.m. (PST) and then finishes at JSerra High School in San Juan Capistrano on Monday at 11 a.m. (PST).<\/p>\n<p>Team USA will have a variety of athletes who will get in the water for this series, including Olympians <strong>Ben Hallock<\/strong>\u2014recently named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/stanfords-hallock-selected-2018-acwpc-player-of-the-year-uscs-vavic-named-2018-coach-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018 ACWPC Player of the Year<\/a>\u2014<strong>Alex Obert<\/strong>, <strong>Jesse Smith<\/strong>, <strong>Alex Bowen<\/strong> and <strong>Luca Cupido<\/strong>, who may end up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/a-match-made-in-water-polo-heaven-luca-cupido-to-train-with-pro-recco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">returning<\/a> with the Italians to practice with Pro Recco.<\/p>\n<p>Team Head Coach <strong>Dejan Udovicic<\/strong> will not have 2016 Olympic goalie <strong>McQuin Baron<\/strong> available, so Alex Wolf\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/olympic-club-announces-hallock-hooper-wolf-cutino-award-finalists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recently named<\/a> a finalist for the Peter J.
