NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Carmel, Ind. native\u00a0Jota Iwase<\/strong> has declared his commitment to the University of Chicago and will join the Maroons as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Iwase swims year-round with Carmel Swim Club and owns a pair of Winter Junior qualifying standards. \u00a0He most recently raced four events at Juniors East earlier this month and was a five-time finalist at the Indiana LCM Senior Championships this past summer. He also recorded two lifetime bests at the American Short Course Championships in March.\u00a0Also competing for Carmel High School, Iwase placed 12th in the 100 fly as a junior after placing 13th in the 100 fly and tenth in the 200 IM during his freshman season at the Indiana State Championships.<\/p>\n
