He most recently competed at Juniors East earlier this month where he took seventh in the 200 breast and ninth in the 400 IM. He concluded his long course season with four gold medals, a silver and a bronze at the ISCA Summer Senior Championships.\u00a0At NCSAs in March, he finished fifth in the 200 breast to earn a spot on the Irish Open Selection Team.\u00a0Also representing Saint Peter &amp; Paul High School,\u00a0Christianson\u00a0won the 100 breast and was the 200 IM runner-up during his sophomore season after placing fourth in both events as a freshman at the\u00a0National Catholic High School Championships. He has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>&#8220;I am beyond excited to announce my commitment to swim for the University of Notre Dame. I feel so honored to be a part of the Notre Dame family and carry on the proud tradition of the Fighting Irish both in the classroom and in the pool.\u00a0 Coach Litzinger and his team of coaches and athletes are truly writing a new chapter for the university that I just needed to be a part of. Go Irish!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 breast &#8211; 55.69<\/li>\n<li>200 breast &#8211; 1:58.60<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 1:49.88<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 3:51.85<\/li>\n<li>200 fly &#8211; 1:52.41<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When he arrives on campus at the start of the 2020-21 season,\u00a0Christianson will add his talents to a breaststroke group that includes\u00a0<strong>Josh Bottelberghe<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Matthew Limbacher<\/strong> as well as an IM group led by\u00a0<strong>Marci Barta<\/strong>.
