NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Backstroker\u00a0Casey Chung\u00a0<\/strong>has given Michigan a verbal commitment for the fall of 2020. Chung, already a native of Ann Arbor, will join the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Chung swims year-round with Club Wolverine and owns the U.S. Open standard in the 100 back and the Juniors cut in the 200 back. She recently competed at Juniors East earlier this month where she finished 14th in the 100 back and 19th in the 200 back. She won the 100m back and was the 50m back runner-up at NCSAs this past summer after posting a pair of lifetime bests at Nationals.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Skyline High School, Chung is a four-time Michigan DI State Championship finalist.\u00a0She won the 100 back and placed eighth in the 200 IM as a sophomore after placing first in the former and sixth in the 50 free during her freshman season. She has also earned NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n
