His older brother,\u00a0<strong>Braden Nyboer<\/strong>, is currently a sophomore on LSU&#8217;s roster.<\/p>\n<p>Primarily a distance swimmer, Nyboer does his club swimming with Tiger Aquatics and owns a pair of U.S. Open cuts. He recently competed at Juniors West earlier this month where he finished fifth in the mile. He raced to tenth in the 800m free and 13th in the 1500m free at Juniors this past summer after placing eighth in the 400m free at Austin Speedo Sectionals. He also swept all three distance events at the Louisiana SCY Championships in February.<\/p>\n<p>Only a high school junior, Nyboer also represents Catholic High School and is a six-time Louisiana State Championship finalist.\u00a0He placed second in the 500 free and fourth in the 200 free during his junior season after finishing first and fifth, respectively, in those events as a sophomore.\u00a0Nyboer has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for his efforts.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI chose LSU because it has a one of a kind culture that you won\u2019t get from any other school, and the team welcomed me immediately. The LSU coaching staff is not only highly talented and energetic, but they make sure you have everything you need to be successful. Geaux Tigers!!!\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:42.17<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 4:29.46<\/li>\n<li>1000 free &#8211; 9:14.52<\/li>\n<li>1650 free &#8211; 15:17.42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nyboer will make an immediate impact when he suits up for the Tigers as a member of the class of 2024 and will have one year of overlap training with his older brother.
