Touching in 1:34.03, the U.S. team beat out the Netherlands, who were the former Championship record holders and are the current world record holders.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Brown\u00a0(on swimming the anchor on a championship relay): <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u201cIt feels great. It\u2019s such a great group of girls, and I\u2019m just really thankful to be part of Team USA here.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Dutch put up a strong fight, with\u00a0<strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo\u00a0<\/strong>(23.60) and\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk\u00a0<\/strong>(23.32) leading the Dutch over the rest of the field for the first 100. However, splits from\u00a0<strong>Kim Busch\u00a0<\/strong>(23.84) and\u00a0<strong>Valerie van Roon\u00a0<\/strong>(23.79) weren&#8217;t enough for the Dutch to hold off the Americans, ultimately finishing in second in 1:34.55.<\/p>\n<p>Back in third were the Australians in 1:36.34.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">When asked about winning a medal with the team,<strong> Emily Seebohm<\/strong> said: \u201cIt&#8217;s always fun.
