The time is the fastest in the world this year and is closing in on Florent Manoudou&#8217;s World Record of 20.26 from 2014.<\/p>\n<p>USA&#8217;s <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> went 20.54 for the silver while South Africa&#8217;s <strong>Brad Tandy<\/strong> landed on the podium with his third-place 20.94.\u00a0Great Britain&#8217;s <strong>Ben Proud<\/strong>, a favorite in this event, was disqualified for a false start.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Dressel(on his race): <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u201cThere are some things that could have been better for me, but the faster swimmer won tonight for sure. Even with a better race, I don\u2019t think I could have been 20.3 tonight. But I\u2019m still happy with it. We\u2019ll move forward from it, but a big congrats to Vlad.
